Good afternoon, NBS. Yesterday, I visited
a relatively new brewery here in my county: Two Ton. They formed in 2014, but just opened their own space back in October.

I sampled 6 beers and just finished adding each beer to the database with their commercial descriptions, for those missing, along with my
quick impressions of each beer based on the 4oz tasters I had. I’m going to finish writing up my review of the place, then I’ll hopefully be back later with a new beer from this brewery that I brought home with me. Cheers!

This is the beer that put me over the top into IPAS since that's all I can drink, I know im pretty boring.

New Beer Sunday: American Wild Ale

Afternoon NBSers, with a recommendation for a tart and funky wild ale.

This afternoon’s new beer is from Goose Island and is a bottle of Lolita from the 2016 brewing.

My review, subject to revision until this and the next couple of bottles are finished, can be found here:

The flavors/aromas of this beer include a bit of tartness, lots of raspberry and some musty barnyard funk. There’s also a bit of sweetness and a bit of oak. The tartness is well controlled and does not overpower the other flavors so that the raspberry, red wine and sweetness all contribute to the aromas/flavors. On the whole a nice Wild Ale that I’ll be looking forward to having again.

    Cheers, all!

You sure can drink beer quickly. Would you care to tell us about the beer?

You're not boring but you've not told us anything much about the new beers you posted today. Appearance, aromas, flavors, etc.

We're here to try out new beers we haven't tried and then tell the folks in the thread our impressions of those new beers so.

It's been a very long time since I've been to a Bob Seger concert. He puts on a great show!

The scalpers/secondary sales guys seemed to monopolized all the tickets in Tulsa. I will settle for listening to his old live stuff.

    Firestone Pivo pilsner
    ...cloudy orange gold color
...just below average body with about medium carbonation
..aroma is malt ,ccracker, grain, yeast, and a little grassy/hay
.. Taste is somewhat similar to aroma with it being more bitter, grassy than the aroma hinted at. The cracker, grain and malt show up a little weak but I think the bitter/grassy taste masked everything
..overall ok but tasted like it was having an identity crisis, wasn't sure if it wanted to be a pilsner or an ipa

Not to be the scold, but you are supposed to tell us something about these new beers, hell, maybe even review it...

I'm trying another local IPA, The Unknown Brewing Company Over The Edge.

Unknown's beers are well distributed here and have a quirky reputation. This one is pretty conventional.

Their website only adds that it is brewed with West Coast hops. It is a clear amber with a modest white head. It has a great piney and citrus aroma. The flavors are a little more restrained, with a nice balance of malt and dankness, fruit, and pine from the hops. Nicely bitter and full flavored.

Greetings all, brutal day at work, snow, sleet, ice, wind, rain, and ripped my last poncho down the middle half way through, so soaked too, plus cranking busy day once they got the roads safe. Ugggh. Wasn't in the mood for a beer (more like a snifter of warm brandy) until reading all your posts, so thanks for that. Be back in a bit better able to join the fun. Cheers!
