Goose Island (2019)

Is a list of what all will be offered at Stoutfest available anywhere? My casual attempt to research this has failed.

 

I don't believe I've ever seen a list prior to the event, aside from the breweries attending. But I could be wrong.

 

Does anyone know how to sell stout fest tickets? Officially there aren’t tickets, it’s just a will call list, but it does seem like people are offering them for sale?

 

Pretty sure there are tickets you can print or use from phone (via Evenbrite confirmation email attachment).

 

It is not a ticket. It says:

"We look forward to welcoming you to Stout Fest 2019 on March 10th!
Please remember to bring your valid ID for name and ticket
verification. There are no physical tickets, your name will be on a list
at the door.
Cheers! -Goose Island Brewhouse"

 

I see none of that. My ticket has that scanner code thingy, confirmed number and definitely is a ticket.

 

Also confirmation e-mail states ‘Printable PDF tickets are attached to this e-mail’.

 

eppie82 it is not a ticket. It says so right on there. They used Eventbrite to sell tickets for this, so it sent confirmation emails and generated tickets, but clearly there aren't working tickets. I get this is confusing, maybe this is why people are trying to sell tickets, they just don't realize it wont work. Idk. That's why I asked.

 

Are you an MBA member by chance? Because I bought my ticket through MBA code and ticket is called ‘MBA Stoutfest’. One of my buddies here bought 2 tickets but his original guest had to bail, so he just gave/sold it to another buddy of his. Maybe he can comment. He also is an MBA member.

 

^Ah, no I am not MBA. I purchased in the general onsale. Maybe we just have different tickets.

I haven't been to Stout Fest before. Is it all indoors? I just want to make sure I don't need to wear a really heavy jacket. Thanks in advance!

 

Yes, indoors - barring tornado, Godzilla attack, or getting too drunk and yelling “these aren't beers! They’re blended pastries! They’re abominations! You’re all heretics!”

In any of these cases, there may be an outdoor component.

Good to know. I locked myself out of the house when grabbing coffee so I will be appearing at stoutfest looking like a true sweatpants neckbeard. Good thing I had my phone and wallet.

 

@croush and @KidGalaga can’t be trusted. Their palates are messed up. More is sugar water fake grossness. Smiling Shadow by Corridor and Brett wine stout by Lagunitas are the clear winners so far.

Thought the More Rainbow was outstanding,
Same for both Maplewood offerings, as well as, the Saint Errant marshmallow

 

So does @IlCraftWjgman 's sweat pants say "JUICY" across the rear? Please confirm. TYIA.
