Nope. I was just assuming. I'm sure it'll be like past years then.

I plan on attending again this year, had a blast at last year's event... Will be bringing some bottles to share if it is indeed allowed this time.

Last year was the first time I had rocky mountain oysters. Also the first time I dressed as an elf.

But, you didn't have to keep dressing like that at every other beer event!

...first time meeting this fella, Shawn (and a whole slew of other cool people who just happen to frequent this site). First trades completed. Yea, couldn't have done it without the hat and tights.

Since I've never been to an event like this I wanted to ask once I buy the beer I want should I take it back to the hotel or do people just chill with stacks of beer around them at the party? Also, are there shuttles/cabs available for the eventual trek back to the hotel?

Cool, trying to get my first trade done for bbpt5. I'm attending old rabbits foot day the same day, do you think two bottles of ORF would land me eight bbpt5?

I absolutely would take it back to the hotel if possible. The vast majority of people aren't assholes, but there are assholes. This event has lots of people milling about in a relatively confined space, and you yourself will be hitting the food tables, draft lines, checking out music - you don't want to be babysitting cases of beer.

Marshall is a very small town. I wouldn't count on either taxi or shuttle. Suppose you could call the hotel you're staying at ahead of time and see if they have anything available.

From a single trade - doubtful. 44oz of ORF vs. 96oz of BB Plead. Maybe from multiple people.

A year after the last release of BB Plead, I've come to the conclusion that I'd much rather have 12oz servings of a world class BB stout that I can go to whenever I want, versus 22oz/750ml of a world class BB stout (or whatever other high gravity hyped big beer) that I typically need just the right occasion for. I wish more breweries would go to 12oz / 375ml format for special releases.

THIS! The fact that it's in 12oz format is pretty much the main reason I'm going to 4 Elf to pick up bottles in the first place.

i wish that more breweries would go to cans for their world class barrel aged special release stouts/beers. is that weird?
