Blaeber or however you spell it.....

My desire to try it (although never having the ammo to even begin to try to get it) is only fueled more and more by the people who say Le Bleu isn't anywhere near as good (and my wife and I absolutely adore Le Bleu)

I don't partake in enough "Value Maximization" to ever get one..... although I teamed up with another BA to take a stab at one, and fell laughably short.....

    because

COAST is one of my favorite breweries. Love their beer and the people are great.
I prefer IP trades so smaller brewery beers with low bottle counts are hadrer for me to get
COAST is anti-hype so there is no "release" and you get little warning before it comes out
BB Stouts are one of my favorite styles.

Sorry to bump this thread but, as of right now, it's Black Note. I first had the chance to try it two years ago when I lived in Sarasota, Florida. My favorite local beer bar announced when they would have it on draft but, when the day rolled around, I was flat broke and couldn't try it. Last year I lived in Miami and they didn't see any of it to my knowledge. Thought I had a chance this year since I'm now much closer to Michigan (Asheville, NC) but the only place that got it had it in on Wednesday and I didn't find out until last night. Called today and there's none left. On a more positive note, I got KBS for the first time ever last Tuesday and I was able to get two 4-packs for a reasonable price. I know I was lucky to get so much for such a good price so I guess it's give and take.

Hill Farmstead Ann is mine. I've been able to track down several other, lesser whales so far. Saison du Fermier was on my list for a few months before I secured one, Cisco Ale Aged On Estate Grown Raspberries was also there, but I've got one on its way to me next week.

So Ann remains my #1 whale. Southampton Black Raspberry Lambic is up there too.

Daisy Cutter, missed it twice locally. Had friends from Chicago coming to town couldn't find any for me.

I know it's not that rare but right now for me it's Prairie Bomb!

I finally got my hands on some KBS today so we'll be able to tick that one off the list around 9pm this eve.

Several places around Allegheny County have had it but everyone only got one case and did the limit one per person thing. I know the Giant Eagles in Robinson, Wexford, Shaler, South Hills and Cranberry all each got one case.

99 Bottles in Carnegie, Smokin' Joes on Carson and House of 1k Beers all had it as well at varying points in the week. All of those places are sold out now, though.

Save Mor in Homestead has ONE case and is doing a $5 raffle for it for right to purchase it. I think the purchase price is $137. The proceeds from the raffle go to charity.

Happy to report DDG is in hand now. Still no Blåbær but no bad feels either. I know there's better lambic out there I need to try first. At this point I'd be happier to try Hommage, 50N, or similar than Blåbær.
