More Brewing Co (2019)

I'm hoping it lasts to tomorrow!

 

But the allotment was 10 cans. (And had tried both beers previously, with the caveat that the previous Coconut City was the "test" version or whatever.) I experienced zero terror.

More generally has two modes for can releases. One encourages line sharing and they set up portajohns and garbage cans and have a police presence. And they turn the tap room into a giant point of sale so the line flies.

Saturday's was an odd 'tweener, as they handed out numbered tickets but didn't have those three components. But there was still a smattering of drunken idiocy. And they only had two point of sales going, so the line moved much slower than other previous trail lines. And the tap room was open for eating and drinking immediately; no second line required.

 

Maybe they collaborate with The Veil at some point and make Double Double Dusty Dusty?

Just got back from More. Maple Vanilla Henna is good but has a very syrupy finish.

They still had 3 cases of Dusty in the cooler, maybe more in the back.

Very crowded with dinner guests.

 

I’m guessing they still have some DDH Dusty in cans since they haven’t posted that they’re ‘Sold Out’ on Instagram or anything. And this batch is worth some effort grabbing. Even more delicious than I remember their previous batches, and I really liked those too.

Maybe to announce the new location in Huntley? Heard they were supposed to start Brewing there this spring....

 

Or, maybe it’s a new brewery entirely that he’s starting up. It is a different emblem/symbol from MoRE.

 

Unless More is rebranding, it may be a completely different brewery. That would should shake up the craft beer scene in Chicago.

 

The MoRE I think about it (see what I did there) since it was posted on his personal account, I’m thinking he is going solo. Very interested to find out. This news would be crazy, if MoRE loses their head brewer with an expansion looming, not sure how popular they would be without Shaun.

 

Maybe he doesn’t like the huge expansion that More is going through

 

It's really confusing to try to read. On the one hand he posted this on his personal account and said "I" not "we," but why would that be exciting news? And how could going out on his own be a better opportunity than this with a big expansion? And wouldn't MoRE do everything they can to keep him?

 

He might not be agreeing with the aggressive expansion strategy. Kind of how Pulpit Rock got started. He also may have greater control and ownership stake in his own financed brewery. We shall see.

Possible... but why from his personal account? You’d think that would be from the MoRE account.

But in general, I do think MoRE needs a better emblem/symbol.
