Does anyone know if the ticket price includes a glass or pour?

Neither. It said on one of their posts, $50 for just the bottle.

To confirm information, emails have been sent to reprint tickets. The new tickets will show user/holder names along with the buyer name.

This update is very helpful for us who are bringing friends to the event.

What are the chances of surprise variants? Additional bottle sales? I have never attended this release or had a chance to visit the brewery, so not sure what to expect? Thanks!

They've had additional bottle sales in the past that accompany the limited release events but I wouldn't count on them. For MDb5 release, there were only something like 30-40 extra allotments that they sold after the last session ended. For Assassin '18 release, they did have 'cellar clean out' where they sold KBBS, Assassin, MDb4, BA Chainsmoker, Naughty Temple and maybe another limited release beer I can't remember, but some were very limited in numbers (I think only 36 bottles of KBBS were sold) and you had to be there pretty early.

Like I said, I wouldn't bank on extra bottles being sold but they will likely have some Assassin variants on draft.

Thanks for the info eppie82. Just wondering since last year allotment was 2x 22oz bottles and this year was 1. All speculation for sure, and hopium!

You might want to ask them on their Twitter feed. They do respond to posts but they do not respond to pms. As stated above, they have been known to have cellar sales during previous releases. I'd assume that they should have variants on draft.

Maybe some Mornin Latte cans at Assassin?

Hoping they will have pours of Assassin this year. I don’t know if they do it every year?

    Seems to imply they will:

They had regular Assassin and two variants (Coconut and Assassin 16 w/Coffee) on draft at Assassin ‘18 release. This year they had the Assassin ‘18 w/Coffee on the day tickets were sold on-site. I’d imagine they will Assassin ‘19 and Assassin ‘18 w/Coffee at least, and likely more.

Did Assassin and/or the variants last until the later sessions? I'm not expecting them all to, but did Assassin (non-variant) at least make it to the later sessions?

All the variants lasted well into the evening when the brewery opened to the general public. I think I left sometime around 8 or 9P.M. and all 3 variants were still available when I left. Each person was allowed 1 pour of each variant (regular, Coconut and the Coffee), and they were marking on hands when you got one.

Was a strange sight at one moment because the 'regular' Assassin '18 line was completely empty with no wait (every one was in the variant lines). Didn't think I'd ever see something like that.

Facebook description makes it sound like you are going to have to choose wisely...

Ticket holders will have access to our barrel-aged beer section which will feature a number of exciting, limited edition barrel-aged stouts. Each ticket holder will be limited to two pours of our barrel-aged beer selection, this area will be CASH only as well the list of BA beers and prices will be announced in March.

What’s the general session like? Is it a mad house? Do you have to wait in line all day to get in?

What were your thoughts on the 3 variants last year?

How do the sessions work? For example, if you have the 8 a.m. session, do you have to leave before the next session arrives at 10, or are you allowed to stay throughout the day?

Last year the sessions were pretty relaxed. Some people got there right at the beginning of their session, some showed up in the middle of the session. If you showed up at the beginning of your session, it was maybe a 5 or so minute wait in the line before you got to the person with the bottles. While you were waiting in line, they gave you a little slip on which you could put if you wanted any other merchandise or beer. Once you got to a person working the line (and there were multiple), you handed them the slip and they filled this cardboard holder box with your bottles + shirt, glass, etc... whatever you ordered. Everything was cash. Then you simply made your way into the 'belly' of the tap room and ordered whatever you wanted at the bar. There were plenty of seats available so there wasn't much jostling for space. Once your session ended, you needed to leave the space and could then choose to come back once it was opened for general public (if you wanted to hang out and drink some more). General public opening was maybe 30 minutes or an hour after the final session had concluded.

As for the variants, I think I was in the minority and preferred the regular Assassin the most. I love straight up BA imperial stouts, so any time there are adjuncts added to what I would consider already a quality base, I feel it detracts from that. But I think most people preferred the Coconut variant (plenty of coconut, very sweet to me). All in all, you wouldn't be disappointed with any of the 3. I thought Assassin 18 w/coffee (this year) was just the right amount of coffee, where it didn't taste like you were drinking a straight-up cup of coffee and it didn't over power the base. I hope they put that one on draft.

For the last Assassin release (and even Mornin' Delight b5 release), you were able to spend the whole allotted time of your session in the brewery but you had to clear out once your session ended. You could then re-enter after the final session concluded and the brewery opened to the general public. I am unsure if they will run it the same this year (hopefully more info to come).

Typically what people would do, if they had a session early or in the middle of the day, is they would either go to Pulpit Rock, go to the old TG taproom (really close to Pulpit Rock) or just grab a bite to eat after they had to clear out from the brewery at the end of their session, and then come back to the brewery when open for general public. Once it opened to the general public, it got a bit more crowded (certainly a lot more crowded than during the individual sessions). There are other descent bars, restaurants, establishments too which you could hang out at before the brewery opens to the general public (Courtyard & Cellar, Mabe's, etc.). There's a good amount of options.
