I wasn’t a huge fan of it, honestly. Got virtually no peanut butter flavor from the bottle I drank. Found it to taste like a sickly sweet cherry cordial. Already donated the other bottle I purchased to Goodwill.

Also, drank Pastrytown v2 last night. While very good, it unsurprisingly very similar to just about every other coffee/cinnamon/vanilla pastry stout they’ve done.

I’m definitely gonna be recruiting friends to help me finish off a lot of these bottles because I see the burnout coming from a mile away.

Surprised I'm not hearing any love for that moon child porter. I thought it was one of the tastiest stouts/porters i've ever tried. I'm savoring the rest of this 4 pack.

Yeah, while the stouts are all much better than they were 2 years ago (anybody remember cardamom In Absentia?), they do all taste somewhat similar at this point. It used to be hard to track down a really good cinnamon or coconut stout and now we've got them available every month. It's a great problem to have!

Really good fruited berliners are the only beer I don't think we've got enough of yet and I think we're almost at that point. Bring on the summer of low abv fruit crushers!

We're missing sessionable beers in general to be honest, everyone is just putting out Imperial IPAs and Stouts more than anything at the moment. Give me some kölsch and pale ales this spring.

In keeping it in close proximity: A short walk to Folksbier should get one their Fruited Berliner, Pale Ale, Lager fix

Damn, I was hoping they were low on lactose after pastrytown. Could have done without it in SD&H. I guess since they only use a “hint” in each batch the lactose stretches far...

When you get that high it's called a rack. They should have put the thing in a 25oz can.

Even tho I hated that beer fresh cause it was alcoholic Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, I'm mildly optimistic that the BA version will be quite good since the barrel character will give the beer something to balance to sweetness.

    Nice!

    Fluctuation is wildly underrated.

Edit: And today's double citra is nice, but I'm still too blown away by last week's experimental All Citra.

The stout is quite good. I will note that I haven't found these Short Dark and Something Added cans last that long at all. Drink em if you got em!

I agree it’s a great beer, but how can Fluctuation be wildly underrated at 4.46?

finally fully recovered from Pastrytown..I had a blast on Saturday..for the most part it was a well run event. Tried a bunch of beers I have been longing to try as well as a few others I never thought I would..best in show was 3 Sons..I had Double Vanilla Summation, JBM35 & Lumberjack Morning Break...all 3 were exceptional and rated tops among the beers I tried, biggest disappointment for me was Bottle Logic's Fundamental Observation..heard so many great things, but I thought was rather ho-hum and lacking that big Vanilla pop I was expecting..Other Highlights were OH 5th Anniv. Stout w/ Banana ,BA Cinnamon/Vanilla Speedway and the beers I had from Main & Mill as well as Forager

Stopped at Folksbier as part of my out of towner beer crawl on Sunday and couldn't wade through the crowd of hipster parents and strollers and dogs and toddlers crawling around so I was only able to push through to the unnecessarily tiny bar for one beer (Sif) which was ok. Then we went to Owl Farm and had a grand old time with bottles of Prairie Apple brandy noir and bourbon paradise etc...
