This coming weekend I'm going on a yearly fishing trip with some old friends of mine, I've known several of them for 35 years. We have a three day tournament where big fish takes it all, largemouth bass is the targeted species. We are fishing on a Public Fishing Area this year that is somewhat trophy managed by the state. The winning fish has ranged from 2.5 lbs to almost 10 pounds in the 17 years we have gotten together. There are usually around 20 of us that make the trip every year.
Winner will be determined by closest guess to big fish(lbs/ozs), tie breaker goes to how many fish total caught by the group over three days. Some of us are serious fishermen, others just go to get away from reality for a few days. Most of us fall in the middle
somewhere. I'll be leaving my house after I drop my little one off at school Friday morning, guesses close when I head out. Winner will be hit ninja style shortly after I return.
