True true, but what did it cost for previous on-site enjoyment releases, and whenever the actual to-go release was?

I'm sure folks will correct me if I'm wrong, but looks like the last onsite Ann 750s were a couple weeks ago and $125. Not sure if that was for gen pop or the CW list.

The last onsite Ann 375s were $60 as well, and needed to be split between two people, which continues to be ridiculous.

Looks like the last to go release was 2015 and bottles were about $50 with all taxes and fees.

This is better than an insane shitshow of grammies and grampies, angry wives/girlfriends, and dudes bringing their four friends who just happened to "not like beer anyway". Relatively even playing field.

However, I'm curious how many people will enter and win and not be able to make the pick up and forfeit their bottles.

    Beer being priced correctly?

That's a small factor, if it is one at all. It's the desirability of the product. Johnny Walker Blue Label does not cost four times as much to produce as Ardbeg 10. If anything Blue Label is cheaper to produce, and most people who know scotch would peg the Ardbeg as a significantly better whisky. So suck it up and be grateful that the beer market is still at least halfway rational, $100 bottles of Ann are extremely sane compared to the shit that goes on in almost any enthusiast/collector market.

I will drive 12 hours overnight after work for this shit, happily. My personal white whale...I don't think anything else aptly fits the label for me.

I like the lottery but hope it isn't ripe for people to spoof multiple email addresses.

I find it hard to believe people would try to manipulate the system to acquire Hill Farmstead bottles.

You have to enter your full name and have matching ID at bottle pick up. I think the last time they had a lottery for Collected Works they said that duplicate names would be booted from the lottery. That is just from memory though.

What happens if your name is "Mike Smith" though? I signed up and had my credit card ready thinking the ticket was going to cost a few bucks. I wish it did.

If your housemate is also Mike Smith it would be an issue.

I meant, how does Hill Farmstead differentiate Mike Smith from VT and Mike Smith from NH vs. Mike Smith from ME who entered his name 20 times with 20 email addresses and then shows up for one day?

if you're being serious, yeah, that math doesnt work for me. There are scotches and bourbons that sit in barrels for 7-14 years, also considered "specialty", that are less than $75 per 750ml bottle. Double the storage time, yet about half the price/oz of Anne. Anne buyers will be paying for something.....not sure what it's called.

If, on the other hand, you're being sarcastic, that's some undervalued rent!

This seems like a real issue. They took names and emails. No address or other identifying info. How don't hey justify eliminating duplicate names?

Ask Universe. Seems HF is not taking responsibility for any of the ticketing situation

I mean, are any of your names Mike Smith? If not I probably wouldn’t worry about it so much.
