What do you guys think the ratio would look like for a trade of GTS ‘18 for Fundamental Theorem?

 

This one could be tricky. As of now Theorem tends to be trending downwards, but no one has had it at this point and are just trying to make a quick buck. If values stay where they are, you're probably gonna need at least 2 with a solid plus to make up for the bourbon tax. Even then, right set of eyes as always. There's always a chance that theorem is an amazing vanilla bomb and it goes up in "value" or could be a boozy mess and go down.

If you're on the GTS side you could ask for 2 and get an instaclose im sure

 

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. Yeah I’m on the GTS side. So I guess FT is currently trading at approx $100 a bottle in trade value as GTS usually costs $200 a bottle everywhere I’ve seen it. That’s higher than I was expecting. Think I’ll hold off posting an offer until reviews come in.

 

I think you're undervaluing GTS by a factor of 2-2.5. GTS trades pretty high, though the advice UnholyDemon8 gave you is correct I believe.

Yes, but the overall point is that GTS is at least double that in the trading world! Not sure where you're seeing 200 for GTS, but nationally it goes for significantly over that. @UnholyDemon8 was spot on with how FT and GTS compare.

 

Interesting. I bought 2 bottles of GTS this year at 2 different liquor stores for 200 each. I have one open but was thinking of trading the other one. I wouldn’t put a trade value on it for more than the 200 I paid for it because I like doing fair trades with other beer advocates not people just trying to profit. I know scarcity plays into it as well but I couldn’t do a trade with someone who wants 200 for a bottle of beer they paid 40 for. I know a lot of people will but just sounds crazy to me.

I’m open to doing a $4$ GTS trade for barrel aged beer of similar rarity. I think my issue is I did not realize just how rare and valuable FT will be. But hey that’s what this thread is for right? Thanks guys.
