Visited Ommegang back in August and bought two bottles, one of which i have already consumed Ommegang XV. XV is a Belgian-style Trappist Dark Ale (Reserve) that comes in a 750ml corked bottle.

It was good. Its dark like a Trappist would be and has an ABV of 9.6% that is not overwhelming. I believe its only available at the brewery but I dont know the bottle count.

I always thought this was going to hit distribution eventually. Sampled this at BCTC in August.

If it is distributed at all, I doubt it will be very large. A friend who picked a couple up was told it was brewery only by their staff. Not much on their website, other than that it's "Extremely Limited."

Its one of the Belgian ales ive yet to try. Fantastic in my opinion. At $21 a duece it may seem a bit of a reach but i gaurentee you, you will not be disapointed.

I grabbed it @ BCTC when I first tried it, now it's on the shelves for ~$20 in buffalo, NY (as mendonjoe has already stated)...not entirely impressed, but I'm interested in seeing how it will age.
