[QUOTE="johnnybgood1999, post: 6438532, member: 261830" It could be the artificial lemon flavor, but I always assumed that that came from lemon flavoring. Maybe not though. [/QUOTE]
The way I read the recent TTB Ruling 2015-1 on allowable flavors (without a formula approval) and the appropriate labeling of those beers, SASA's and Cherry Wheat's labels' wording of:
    can only be used for:
"LEMONS - Whole, juice, puree, concentrate, peel, or zest. Does not include extracts, essential oils, or syrups."
"CHERRIES - Whole, juice, puree, or concentrate. Does not include extracts, essential oils, or syrups."

    --- TTB 2015-1 Attachment 1
They can't be artificial flavors if so labeled.
That does not mean, obviously, that someone can't find the flavor of the beer "artificial" tasting.

I'm sure they're using the real thing. My wording should have should have been artificial tasting!

I’m as fed up with Sam ‘76 as I am with White Christmas. Just saw the variety pack in my local Walmart and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. I love Sam Adams and nearly everything they offer, but they’ve been slacking with the last few variety packs. And as someone already stated, I wish they would stop trying to shove ‘76 down everyone’s throats

Did Noble Pils make it into their spring pack? I didn't even see a Sam Adams spring pack in my area this year.

I thought they replaced Noble Pils with the Downtime Pilsner.

    No spring pack this year.

They did but then brought NP back and had it in a few mixed packs.

If they would bring back Noble Pils and put it in cans, they would get a truckload of my money this summer

I quite like Sam '76, although like most here I think it's ridiculous to drop the assortment from 6 beers to 4 and then make two of them full-timers.

I was on the fence about Summer Ale the last time I had it. I see this year's bottles are promoting that it's a new recipe, so I may have to try a single.

Ah yes it is now "lighter and brighter", I too am curious and will give it a go and I never minded SA and found it to be refreshing.
