SF always gets high marks for both food and beer selection.

Accessibility is the biggest key I don't see mentioned enough. If I have to walk 3/4 of a mile and miss 3 innings, is it really a valued craft selection? If it's only available to club level 105 patrons, is it a true asset to all?

My one trip to a major League park this decade ( Yankee stadium in 2016) was eye opening and a downer. GI. Heineken and Bud light dominated. Whole third level third base side had this selection. I heard there was other stuff elsewhere. For $9/big can, it just wasn't worth it through my eyes. Game and food were solid. But I've stopped drinking beer outside of actual taprooms and at home from packaged purchases. Restaurant beers? Nah. Race track beers ? Maybe one or two. MLB beers? Maybe one or two macros and call it

I applaud those stadiums with actual selections for all. Even if I go to a game once a decade, it's not worth the trouble if I have to treasure hunt craft beer

SF had good marks even back in 2004 when I attended a few ballgames there. Great experience, and even visited 21st Amendment on 2nd Street postgame way before I saw their product in the stores local to me.

As far as Progressive Field in Cleveland, this article is wildly inaccurate. And it’s actually much better than portrayed. I hope the article is more accurate with regard to other stadiums.

There was a craft beer bar in the lodge section at Dodger Stadium when I went to a couple of games last year. I should still be there. I had a couple of Orderville's

In what regard? I know CBP in Philly has had Troegs, Victory, and Yards in past seasons. I dont think the article was meant to include every craft beer option at each stadium. That would be tough assuming options change throughout the season (Spring, Summer, Fall seasonals).

I actually only glanced at the article and just read the Cleveland entry. In light of seeing the other entries, I see your point about it not being comprehensive. However, on the Cleveland page, it mentions, “Great Lakes Brewing Co. offers 13 beers at Progressive Field including River Pale Ale, Commodore Perry IPA.” At most, Great Lakes will have 5-6 different beers on tap, not 13. Also, it’s Burning River Pale Ale. Lastly, they didn’t mention the large number of craft options available at The Corner bar in right field. That’s a one-stop-shop for craft beer at Progressive Field.
It looks like SI (at least partially) relied on responses from the ballparks to generate the descriptions, so there’s that as well. The response may have been written by an intern, for all I know.
Anyway, we are very fortunate with what we have here in Cleveland.
Good luck to the Phillies! Harper will be fun to watch.

Many of the Wrigley Field beers must be new. I am a bleacher bum answer still exclusivly hit the one Old Style taps Left. They add magic to Il D Style when served at Wrigley.

It's pedantic, but that writer needs a map.

O'Fallon (15 miles from Busch Stadium) is not a local St. Louis beer?

Three Floyds is local to the White Sox (24 miles) but not the Cubs (32 miles).

This is as irksome as all the local St. Louis bars that have "local" beer nights that include discounts on all Missouri brews, some made 250 miles away, but not beers made 15 miles away in Illinois.

Come to a game in Seattle. You have to actually try to not stumble over good beer.

Seattle’s is always high on the list too, with SF. Phillys getting better though, there’s plenty of great beers and you can’t miss on a sausage and pepper sandwich. I find myself in need of a Pork roll and cheese sandwich.

2-0. I'm on my 3rd 'straight from da can' to make me feel like I was there watching the game. Funny enough, I grew up a Yankees fan. But I've been to a few Phillies games in the last couple years because my father-in-law is a huge Phillies phan, so I've decided to follow them.

The beer list at CBP has really picked up, obviously living in N.C. my trips to games are few and far between. I really like the Hall of Fame seats, but honestly the beers there aren’t nearly as good as the first level beer stands. Food stands aren’t as good either, but the seats are padded, bigger, better site lines.
