Funny, thing is, some of us stand on line for neither and drink both. Go figure.

Gonna be honest. Tapping Three Chiefs bottles for the HPB anniversary and running out half an hour before GA people are even let into the event while literally every other beer is widely available the entire time is... not helping your cause.

If anything, I have even less reason to try this fucking brewery.

I was honestly really excited to try some of the beers after realizing they'd be opened at the party. Feel like a fucking dumbass now.

Why are you disappointed anyway? Everyone who tried it said the same thing:

    Good, not great.

(Same as how I feel about 99% of the hype breweries/beers TBH.)

Love the balloon insanity, that brought me here, thanks @skelliott !

On topic, curious if anyone is drawing parallels to Cycle's long running DOS series.

Seems odd to name a stout DOS with all the visibility around an existing beer name of very similar style. I can't imagine they weren't aware of it, considering all the collabs and beer geek culture they've been involved in.

Whatever the case, I haven't seen any other info about it. What is the meaning behind "DOS" to these Three Chiefs of Orient following yonder star? Just an anniversary?

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of DOS variations, between Cycle and the original Peg's, many with coffee.

Dark horse also has a Dos stout. I think theirs is a blueberry stout?

All the Dos variations that have bottle counts less than 200 are really phenomenal.

The trystero connection has me intrigued, but in all seriousness, I'm wondering how this will compare to Highland Park Griffith J Griffith as they use the same region of coffee and it's similar ABV (13.5% to 14%)

    It's also twice as expensive.

I'm kinda pissed off at them posting pictures of empty chairs on their ig feed, basically encouraging ghost chairs.

Because they probably won't be handing them out anytime soon. If they were handing them out now there'd be no chairs

Maybe the chairs are empty because those guys forgot that the sale is cash only and they're going to the ATM.

was really bummed to see the chairs at like 9am. i dont know why the bottle release is at 6 when they open at 4:30. at 380 bottles and the first 100 being able to get 2, it just doesn't make sense to me but I might be missing something; an hour and a half seem like a long time for people to just be getting pours while waiting. going to drive by in a couple mins and see what the line is like for the laugh. gl all!
