They usually have house made Kombucha for sale there, so I figured they were already making it. Doesn't seem like 1 tap for kombucha would be worth a full time job - makes me wonder if they are going to basically make a legitimate push into that market because they have the resources and techniques to do so.

There are some big developments coming to Wild Mind beyond "merely" losing their original head brewer, but I've been asked not to reveal the details (sorry!). Think growth, not shrinking; I don't want to leave the impression that the brewery is in trouble; quite the opposite from what I hear. I've separately heard there's been a fair amount of recent turnover in the bartending staff, but I don't know if that's related to all of the other changes.

I feel like these guys would kill it if they started offering your standard offerings along WITH their off sided offerings.

Lots of buildings around them. The area sure could use some event space too.

On a guess I’d say that they’ll might begin to package their kombucha for retail, so expanding and buying (or even just leasing) a nearby property to accommodate future growth would be a very good idea.

I get that 4 sure..Sq footage is expensive thou in SW where they are located. If they were to can kombucha and other brews to grow i would think a whse idea like what Fair State did in St Paul.

To be honest, that particular packaging facility was planned with packaging efficiencies (production capacity) in excess of their immediate needs, so Wild Mind wouldn’t be making a bad decision in choosing Fair State* as a co-packer if they were to choose to package in cans.

(*All of this is pure speculation, and Wild Mind might purchase their of packaging line.)

Their kombucha brewer left Wild Mind so maybe that is why you are seeing the job posting?
