So your decision to buy this beer rests on how opaque it is, not on how it tastes? Cool.

 

Not how opaque it is. I’d prefer the opposite. Going through a hazy keg of anything is not easy for me. Even if I initially like the beer.

 

In fairness, haze tends to change how a beer drinks, so there's definitely times when I'm actively looking for something clear, or vice versa.

 

It also magically increases the price of a beer.

Hmm, lactose is pretty hit-or-miss for me when not in a milkshake IPA or stout...Did it always have that?

 

It used to say Milk Sugar instead of Lactose

 

Okay, that makes me feel a little better, thanks. Now & Then was a great beer, so I was hoping they didn't mess with it too much.

 

Hopefully the added semantics don't affect the flavor omuch.....

 

I'll be interested to see how this version looks compared to this picture. I've enjoyed Now & Then, but know it used to sit around a bit. I'll be interested in seeing if them adjusting the description to trendy key words that make it sound like a milkshake IPA impacts how quickly this moves around me or if they adjusted the look to fit the "juicy" description.

 

Yea beer is sitting around. Hell, even dungeons is still sitting on a warm Binnys shelf a few miles from my home. The importance of marketing gets magnified when the market is this loaded.

Devil's advocate: Given batch inconsistencies and unless you're stalking Hop Butcher drops, more times than not lately I've walked into a Binny's and found haze options to be merely decent. But your point wasn't specific to haze so I'm not disagreeing with you

 

It wasn't. I'm not a haze chaser, but I'll pick some up every once in a while if there is one on the shelf I'm interested in

Hazy fans will still like this, I’m gonna drink way too much of it.

 

Love this beer. I’d just remind everyone this is only the second batch of this beer to be distributed and 4th batch overall. And it’s one of the few beers I buy every time.

 

Besides Now & Then, looks like Half-Acre is releasing Lucky Catfish lager today. Never heard of a collaboration with REI but I feel Half-Acre's German style beers are always underappreciated. I'll be looking forward to trying that one in particular.
