Dark Lord Day (2019)

Yeah...I think we're going to get an app that tracks all our locations on our phones. Question will remain if people will be able to operate their phones still. A friend of mine couldn't bend over to tie his shoe laces without falling over when he went to his first DLD a few years ago. That was BEFORE the fest started. Needless to say, carrying his bottles all day was not fun.

 

Yeah, this. I think I'd feel miserable after having to eat 3 meals at DLD not to mention all the beer over 14 hours. Realistically a bunch of these guys will be wiped by afternoon and in misery, suffering until they can go at 9pm.

Edit: You'll probably have a few guys sleeping in the fecal barrels. Some neighboring business should set up a couple hundred cots and rent them out by the hour on DLD.

 

catch a ride on the Dark Lord's sleigh. pretty sure he routes through northbrook on his way to munster.

EDIT: on the plus side, if you have the van, you and the members of your party can use it as base camp to catch a nap or otherwise take a break.

 

Some of them will have to suffer until at least 5P.M. Some are in group E.

I'll be trying to coach them threw it. Otherwise they know the rules. You get separated from the herd, and you're on your own.

 

I have visions of you dragging a passed out friend by their wrist through the bottle line and holding it up so they can scan his wristband....

He doesn't come out until 2 weeks or less until DLD.

 

That's only if he sees his shadow from the flames of the burning brewery. And since there's six more weeks til DLD it obviously hasn't burned down yet.

 

Last year I took the coach from Beer On The Wall (I live in LZ) as I found it was the closest type of ride share outside of Uber. Kinda cool actually, ppl were sharing right as we loaded on.
(Bonus) On the ride back from DLD they gave us the funniest barf bags as we loaded onto the coach. Bathrooms on there were also a lifesaver.

I don't seem to recall any sketches of the Sharklord appearing on this site yet.

 

I've witnessed this very thing, except the guy was being held up by his belt, not his wrists - - and the guy doing the holding up of the friend was also fighting (with fists) with another person one row ahead in the snake fencing - so they'd cross each other like every 3-4 minutes and start throwing punches. This lasted for awhile until security came around. No one was tossed.
Gloriously, the passed out / walking zombie buddy never wavered and made it to the end to get his bottles.
It was quite the scene, man. Between the holding up of the friend and the slapping of faces, we talked to the guy and he seemed decent enough.

 

one of the reasons why i like to go a little later in the day. the shenanigans are glorious.

 

I think I might give him the battle axe too.
