What he said! TJ Vintage Ale is a great buy and a nice beer for the holidays.....

I also like Anchor Our Special Ale (just got a sixer of that today to try 2012 vintage)
Thirsty Dog 12 Dogs of Christmas
Hoppin' Frog Frosted Frog (and BA version)
    Ohio Brewing Jingle Bell Ale
Fat Head's Holly Jolly Ale (just got a sixer also today to try!)
    BrewKettle Winter Warmer
    Columbus Brewing Winter Warmer
    Christian Moerlein Christkindl Ale
    Mt Carmel Winter Ale

Ohio has some pretty tasty winter / holiday ales, eh? Notice I did NOT mention the Great lakes Christmas-----pretty overrated in my opinion - not like it used to be....oh well. I will not go thirsty!

What are your "must buy" seasonal or specialty releases? In most large metro beer markets, it seems like there are always seasonal and limited or specialty releases hitting the shelves. I doubt most of us buy them all, even if we would like to. If you're anything like me, there are some releases that you have to buy every time they come out. What are yours? Mine are:

    Surly Wet
    Surly Darkness
    Surly Abrasive
    Founders Harvest
    Founders KBS
    Founders Imperial Stout
    Founders Nemesis and Backstage
    Bells Hopslam
    Bells "batch" series
    Anything by Steel Toe
Goose Island BCBS (variants if I am lucky)
Central Waters Barrel Aged Barleywine (and
    Central Waters Barrel Aged Stout

    Founders FBS
    Founders Backwoods Bastard
Samuel Adams Winter Classics Pack (the Old Fezziwig Ale makes this a staple in the fridge until they start producing 6 packs)
    Samuel Adams Octoberfest
    Sierra Nevada Celebration
    Sierra Nevada Summer

And I know that there's more, I just can't think them.

Those are the four I anticipate and plan to buy mass quantities of each year. I, too, am not particularly interested in chasing trucks/hunting down brews. I don't have the time to camp outside a bottle store.
