Mad chill a little while ago at Foushee. Seemed like at least a couple cases of Last Broadcast and Just to Get a Rep in the cooler, with presumably more on site. V stout on draft, don't think I saw the anny sour.

This unfortunately is a pretty common complaint with TC events. I get it and I don't. They don't have consistent crowds turn out like this regularly, but they have been doing it for 5 years now and should probably be able to plan better. I think the one thing they did wrong was not brew enough of V. Yes, 4pp on Friday was too much but if they dropped the limit after they opened people who had waited for 4 (like me) would have been pissed. Adjusting down to 2 on Saturday was the best they could do at that point. I don't think it was nefarious. I personally liked that there were 2 shots to get their first barrel blend.

It's solid. I heard some people call it "thin" which seems crazy to me. It's thin only compared to something like some of the chewy Veil stouts. The barrel character is nice and balance and it isn't boozy. It's really solid for a standard non-adjunct BA stout. I didn't pick up notes of barleywine though which is my only knock against it. $17 for a 500ml was a very fair price, and it's a good looking bottle with that wax.

'Less Than Alone' - Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout with Vanilla Beans - Our first ever 100% bourbon barrel aged stout is set to go. A blend of various stout barrels, all of which with varying degrees of residence time within the oak all purposely brewed to inky black levels designed not only to withstand the barrel aging process, but to offer something greater than the sum of all the parts.

After the aforementioned conditioning in barrels, the blend was moved to stainless for conditioning on a measured, yet ample amount of in house processed whole vanilla beans for what we sought to be our ultimate expression of one of our favorite stout adjuncts.

We notice impressions of deep vanilla leading into sweeter marshmallow like filling, mocha laden dark chocolate covered cherry, all culminating in a burnt turbinado sugar like lingering finish. 12% ABV,
$20 per 500ml bottle (4 bottle limit per person)

Dislocated Day - An entirely new hoppy beer from us that gracefully attempts to meld east into west. Utilizing hefty helpings of Simcoe, Columbus, and El Dorado, we notice impressions of dank oranges, deep grapefruit pulp, floral soft pine, all manner of citrus rind oil, and our ever present house yeast apricot peach character to tie it all together. We’ve really taken a shine lately to combining different interpretations of hoppy beers into one cohesive pour for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is experimentation and the need to keep things interesting… 6% ABV because it should be.
    $14.50 per 4 pack (4x 4-pack limit)

Green Dreams w/ Citra, Denali, Vic Secret, and Eukanot Cryo
    - Our ever experimental and rotating DIPA Green Dreams returns this Friday. Hopped with what amounts to nearly the kitchen sink – Citra, Denali, Vic Secret, and Eukanot Cryo. Brewed with our venerable house ale strain, we detect notes of green tropical papaya, oily orange citrus zest dankness, and candied pineapple apricot.

Its not often we hop these beers with more than a couple varietals, but the interplay of various hops and the format in which their processed are part of our ongoing need to make the best possible hoppy beer we can. 8% ABV… if you know, you know.
    $17.50 per 4-pack (1 case limit)

Parting of the Sensory - Our barrel fermented and conditioned golden sour beer refermented on a serious amount of hand cut Nectarines from our friends at Chiles Peach Orchard out of Crozet VA. A significant portion of the blended base mixed culture beer was without question, some of the longest barrel aged beer of our entire stock. The selection process for the base blend was a result of seeking out those barrels that hopefully were destined to coax all of the character of both the beer and the eventual refermentation of the whole quarters of fruit. This in turn created the finished product now ready for consumption after an extensive bottle conditioning process.

We notice notes of floral tree fruit, sprees candy, bright citrus lactic acidity, with a brett derived like fruit laden crisp fully bottle conditioned effervescent finish. 5.5% ABV and on for onsite pours and bottles to go for
    $14.50 per 500ml bottle

Dual can release Friday, Noon, Fulton. Two of my favorite DIPAs TC does. It will be great to try them side-by-side.

Battle Creek 8% DIPA - Our 100% Mosaic DIPA fermented with our house ale strain and a serious amount of malted white wheat makes a return on Friday. This one opens with dank orange zest melon like vanilla cream that leads into our perpetual and constant state of refinement in softer feel. 8% ABV forever.
    $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

Valhalla 8% DIPA - Our 100% Citra DIPA. Pungent, dank, melon tropical orange apricot all make their presence known via the careful combination of our house ale yeast and multiple dry hop charges. Every so often, we wake this beer...when we need it.
    $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

Pathway Pils 5% - Our house pilsner constructed of 100% German Pils malt with an intentional blend of only the most noble hop varietals. Our pils is pulled together by a yeast strain that we’ve become quite fond of which creates this floral, lemon, hay like sweet honey straw, zesty dry yet still soft bodied lager. We’re quite proud to release what we’ve envisioned as our house Pilsner during what is and likely always will be a constant state of refinement and evolution in everything we do.
    $12 per 4 pack

    Illuminati Confirmed DIPA
8% - Hidden meanings return with our Citra and Mosaic heavy DIPA. After that fateful day of triangles based symbolism, we realized we hadn’t yet paired the heavy hitters of the new school hops together, while also alone. We taste tropical citrus orange grapefruit rind melon like kiwi. Deeply cryptic, and confirming nothing you didn’t already not know.
    $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

    Outlier Pale Ale

A hefty grist of both North American 2 Row and Flaked Rye, and a somewhat irresponsible amount of Nelson Sauvin come together for the best reasons... Admittedly, we based this one very loosely on what once was an iconic beer from way out West.

Notes of mango, bright green tropical fruit, dank white grape like citrus oil layered over top of soft but dry weighty mouthfeel from the combination of rye, yeast, and our particular style of fermentation. 5.5% ABV
Draft and crowlers to go Downtown today

Poor Icarus 8% DIPA - Throughout this beautiful orange can you will find notes of bright tropical guava and sticky pineapple. We aggressively hopped this with Vic Secret and El Dorado.
    $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

Sight Lines IPA 6% ABV - Our West Coast influenced IPA takes shape in this 6% ABV slightly hazy pale yellow pour. Both intentionally and intensively kettle and dry hopped at various points in its life with Simcoe, Citra and Chinook. This beer delivers citrus, tangerine, melon, and a firmly crisp pine like finish. Born out of the need for something dryer and less yeast focused than usual, we’re excited to offer a hoppy beer that branches off into its own territory.
    $14 per 4 pack

    Another addition to today's releases...
    ___________________________________
Rekindled 5.5% Euro Lager - Our latest oak conditioned blended lager returns in the form of Rekindled. We took the previous batch of Cinder which is our beloved smoked lager and laid it to rest within our previously used red wine barrels. After a long enough maturation, we then blended the now exquisitely soft smoked lager with a portion of fresh stainless conditioned lager. Pouring a deceptively translucent orange fading into copper, we notice sweet smoked honey tones, slight noble hop like orange oil and finishing out with a slight smoke derived dryness to balance out any residual sweetness. Where the once smoke character took center stage, the aging in oak coupled with the blending of fresher lager has tempered this thing into a legit grown-ups beer.
500ml bottles for $8 Downtown and Fulton today and onsite pours

According to Untappd there looks to be a new draft only beer added the past couple days as well..

Tiny Pils 3.8% German Pilsner - As though gorgeously pale lager couldn’t possibly get any more approachable or enjoyable, we present Tiny Pils. Designed with the sometimes need to manage our collective sobrieties with an abv that’ll set you down gracefully, we notice floral lavender, sweet oak like baking spice hop character, and raw clover honey like malt depth.

A couple new cans releasing this Friday, 6/7, Noon @ Fulton. First time (I think) the brewery has done 12oz cans.
    _________________________________________________
Rift - Our quest to continue to blur the line between the two coasts respective take on hoppy beers continues with Rift at 6% ABV. This is our heavily west coast inspired yet still mid-Atlantic influenced Mosaic IPA. Fermented with our favorite highly flocculant UK ale strain, and hopped intensely with a blend of some seriously oily classic citrus hops and even more Mosaic because you have to.We taste deep grapefruit rind zesty pine, leading into a mango melon quenching dry finish perfect for the 12oz cans it now calls home
    $11 per 12oz / 4-pack

Tiny Pils - As if gorgeously pale lager couldn’t possibly get any more approachable or enjoyable, we present Tiny Pils. Designed with the sometimes need to manage our collective sobrieties with an ABV that’ll set you down gracefully, we notice floral lavender, sweet oak like baking spice hop character, and raw clover honey like malt depth. 3.8% ABV
    $13 per 12oz / 6-pack

I think this batch of El Dorado Triangles is one of their best hoppy beers in a while. It reminds me of the first batch of All Neon Like after they redid it. They must have scored some real good el dorado recently.

Interstellar Burst 8% DIPA - Generously hopped with Galaxy, Citra and El Dorado with deep and plush impressions of passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit, and mango.
    $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

Nectar and Knife 8% DIPA - Our first ever DIPA hopped and dry hopped extensively with Simcoe and her daughter Mosaic for that signature bright, grapefruit pulpy zest softness with zero bitterness.
    $17.00 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

    Origins 8% DIPA
    - Loosely based on an iconic style pioneered in those densely wooded north eastern states, this DIPA features Simcoe, Centennial, Mosaic, and Amarillo. This particular beer was inspired by what to us always felt like the bone structure of a West Coast DIPA but adorned with various techniques to bolster both yeast and fruit forward hop character. With this comes less emphasis on pure hop bitterness and resin to counterbalance caramel malt sweetness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Origins, constructed of a super simple grist of North American 2 Row and Malted Wheat, was fermented with a carefully selected expressive ale strain to slightly higher levels of both dryness and yeast aromatics that blend seamlessly with hop character from some of our favorite varietals. Impressions of mango, sticky orange zest, tropical melon, slight pine peach that leads into a dryer than typical for us finish.
    $17.50 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

All Neon Like IPA is back with heavy handed doses of both Galaxy and Vic Secret for impressions of saturated floral pineapple with citrus zest wrapped deep within a 6% ABV foundation. Highly drinkable and easily one of our most unique hoppy beers.

Night Call DIPA. Our Denali hop focused DIPA returns this Friday. When we first got the opportunity to trial out Denali, we became certain that it needed a beer to call its very own. Loaded with said hop and some other new school PNW varietals, we find notes of deeply tropical pulpy pineapple, candied citrus, and a bright mango like apricot softness.. it’s hard to explain. 8% ABV and on for onsite pours and cans to go.
