Answered better (and more accurately) than I would've!

I play videogames (not Mass Effect, I swear) for one goddamn night and the whole thread explodes into chaos. At this point I hope the beer is good just to keep shit like this going!

I think its him, and he created a new user name in case it got a lot of backlash so he could say it wasn't him and it was in fact the owners of More. Obvs.....

So back to the beer.... Really found both to be bright and pleasant, perfect for some porch time as it continues to warm up!

I tried the beers last night after pickup from LZB - I wouldn't have gone there except I was passing nearby for work. Haven't had much from them, but seems like a nice operation and I'm glad Phase Three found a good way to start up quickly. I think mutually beneficial arrangements like this are a real strength of the Chicagoland brewing community.

I enjoyed Marmalade much more than Protocol, which surprised me based on my typical hop preferences. I actually thought it was pretty smooth - Shaun's response to wortship had more burn than these hops. Differences in palate or packaging inconsistency? I'd likely try it again in the future, but would not go out of my way to seek it out.

I think Protocol just doesn't have enough hoppy punch for a DIPA, and I agree with the assessment that it's got similar taste to a pilsner. Maybe they just used all, or a lot of, pilsen malt? Regardless, it didn't click with what hops were there. I'll likely pass on this in the future unless there's a major reformulation.

The only thing they told me when I asked how much they received was, "not alot". It was a nice, morning score before I head to Pipeworks later today

Morenos in little village just got their drop. They had 5 or 6 cases of each when I left.

Same story at Beermiscuous. They got less than expected as well. On the bright side, plenty of Neon Green Relish left.

They also said they were selling it at 4:30 and started much earlier. Lucky I heard that hot tip from a bro in the Capone's parking lot. Thanks dude if you're on here.

Stopped out a little more remote after the More pickup... hit up Orange and Brew. Allocation was 4 pack of each per person plus singles for onsite consumption. Split one of each can onsite and these are on point. Forget needing to dial in... nailed it

Proto drinking a lot nicer than Marmalade right now. We’ll see what this Marmalade can turns into next week.

Happy to hear they've entered the market past the 'roll on its side' phase straight into the 'wait 2 weeks before opening' phase.*

    * missed the half hour window at Binny's Grand before it sold out.

I’m really enjoying Marmalade. Hopping on some of the previous comments. It’s really smooth.
