It doesn't seem like they do regular drops here. Is this a shelf staple in MI or do they only do a batch every few months?

I’ve seen M-43 in Binny’s LP every time I’ve been in the last couple months - but they seem to move it around on shelves sometimes. That said, haven’t been in to Binny’s LP in a week or so because I’m mad at them for not selling me a whiskey that I purchased on their web portal. “Allocated,” And “couldn’t find stock”. Booooooooooooooo

Regular. Usually grab it at Meijers. It's glorious.

Does anyone know what the deal is with Weld Works Juicy Bits popping up at Chicago Retailers? Is this a one time drop or going to be a regular deal??

Assuming it is because they are in town for Bean Spirit Fest this Saturday and they brought cans of it for retail.

You'd think there would have been an announcement if this was a brewery sanctioned drop into new territory. Something seems amiss with Moreno's selling that in Chicagoland. BTW, I find Weldwerks canned hazies quite sad in comparison to Chicagos.

Its gotta be a drop because they are here for Mikerphone's fest. I doubt its full time distro.

Yes. Not sure of the regulations they need to stick to (quantity, brewery size, etc). But I know that's what Pipeworks was doing when it started in NY, and I believe HA in Colorado.

Edit: could be state-based regulations, as I don't recall seeing that much here until recently. But there are a bunch of breweries selling at random stores this week while they are in town for Miker fest.

This seems no different to me than when many out of state breweries did drops around Chicago when they were in town for Half Acre's Far & Away fest.

Cool. I wasn't aware the did that and they could do this outside of brewery to brewery kegs.

I definitely don't know the rules that allow it...just happy it can happen from time to time.

Can we say this is something Mikerphone is NOT ruining and is actually helping?! :astonished: Of course, now that I've said that, these Weldwerks cans are bound to explode on @Quilentro when he takes them home.

Who else did retail can drops like that during Far and Away...please tell me there weren't Monkish cans sitting on shelves in Chicago...

Haha...no Monkish at all. There were quite a few breweries, and I can't recall all the ones that did. I know I bought a few of them and I honestly can't recall them now (perhaps that says something in comparison to what we already have here in Chicago). Beer Temple had a big release one day with lots of cans and bottles to go, and then other craft stores got shipments of many of them as well.

I was told in order to pour at Mikes fest all breweries had to apply for a 30 day license in the state of IL(this is the shortest license available). Many are taking advantage of this and selling and pouring at various establishments around Chicagoland
