Yeah, they always have a shitload of stuff on tap.

 

Wow I feel bad for the bar employees. "Guys, we need to put on 34 new kegs tonight."

 

Mike hasnt made a beer named after Limp Bizkit in awhile...

 

Oh wow. I have three hours or so to spare before the Central Electric Railfans' Assoc. meeting downtown Friday. It's a fast ride on the Red Line “L” from Belmont to Harrison.
Maybe I'll push it further by stopping at Kuma's Corner for lunch.

EDIT: Duh, I read good. I'll have to hit Jewel while I'm up this weekend.

 

Props to Rev tonight, "ShayFC" up in the Brewer's Lounge was excellent. That foie gras cornbread needs to became a mainstay on the regular menu.

Jumpy Juice v3.0 and Northeast Hero are both excellent. NE Hero is more what you expect from the style, Jumpy is a dankier version in my estimation. Filibuster (Four Roses aged Wheatwine) was the perfect dessert.

The idea behind this is nice and I'm sure it helps needy families, but at the same point I still feel like this is just buying into an extortion ring. Health care is too expensive for many families so let's raise money for those that need it so we can pay the extortionately high medical bills that go directly to funding record high compensation for hospital execs. As a dad to a special needs 2 year old who has made more trips to Lurie's than I can count, I can say we are incredibly fortunate to have a world class children's hospital like Lurie's in our backyard. If you never have been to Lurie's I pray you never need to. But if you ever need to take your child there know you will encounter some of the most knowledgeable and compassionate medical professionals. Some of the best doctors and researchers in the world call Lurie's home. I will continue to support Lurie's any way I can and strongly encourage you to do the same.

 

Can I please buy a 4-pack of VSOJ well above MSRP, with proceeds going to Lurie (but outside the event)? That’s all I’d want from such an event anyway...

You can buy a pour if you get there early. I imagine you'll see a 4-pack make its way onto the list of raffle/auction items too.

 

And just to be clear, I'm not ragging on Lurie's, more ranting (in the wrong place) on the absurd cost of health care and that the only viable alternative- not receiving care- isn't really an option.
