Not to mention the unpleasant experience of going there. I regret paying an excessive amount money and scheduling my weekend around an inconvenient hour long pick up window to get yelled at by a clearly drunk employee while trying to pick up their overpriced subpar products which I now have multiples of.

Since it has become cool to hate on these guys, I thought I would give my opinion. I have been to three releases. Pick ups were very easy each time. They were nice and easy to deal with, quick in and out. I do something kind of crazy when I do not want the amount of bottles or the product they are selling at a release, I do not buy a ticket.

There are a lot of other problems I could've mentioned but I was trying to play nice. It's becoming difficult.

Not sure if you're referring to me as you didn't quote anyone.

Just in general, no one specific. I am not saying they are perfect, but it seems a bit unbalanced on here, so just thought I would tell about my experience.

They just posted another selection on Eventbrite for anyone that keeps missing them. Cheers

I don't have anything against H&F but for a brewery to get me to deal with a one hour pickup window... I guess if they poisoned me, and the only antidote was in their beer... then, like... maybe.

I didn't say I was buying it. I was just trying to help people that have missed events. I'm waiting for the tap room if anything at all.

clearly drunk employee? that's a pretty serious allegation. Care to elaborate?

Is anyone interested in four free bottles of infected Ocean full of Bowlingballs? Call me crazy but I have a hard time drain pouring $80 worth of bottles even if they do open like a science experiment.

Fwiw, I did have communication with Zach via phone and email to resolve this, but recent emails have gone unanswered

I really, really hope that H&F can figure their stuff out soon - the potential and creativity are definitely there. They just seem to have no clue how to run a business at this point. Too many one-and-done customers before they even open their doors is going to be fatal.

Hopefully in twelve months we're talking about how they're killing it instead of what could have been.

Hey Dave, I can gift you a BA Pleasantly Wreakless to help compensate you for your loss if you'd like to try it. It's not very good, but it is a waxed bottle and it's not infected yet.

Let me know if you're heading to TH in the future and I'll try to meet you there. Cheers

Thank you for the kind gesture Bill. I plan on waiting till they open a taproom and if the reviews improve before revisiting H&F though.

    Cheers

In the past, I’d get really riled up against this brewery for putting out garbage beer (on occasion) at premium prices.

With so many local/regional/national breweries providing good beer at good pricing I can let this fly. If H&F is your local place then have at it.

But seriously if anyone travels more than 20 minutes & spends more than 10 minutes waiting for beer - I really need to question your priorities here. And especially the reports of the drunk employee - c’mon.

Have they stepped up the QA at all or is everything still a mess?

If we’re going by buzz, chatter in the beer community has seemed to die down... not sure if things have been fixed or if people are just moving on

I went to the pour day today and they only had two beers to choose from, a stout and a sour. At $18.15 for two pours, I'd think there should be at least four choices.

Stout was pretty good, sour with Tang, not so much. I've waited long enough for these guys to get their shit together. No more $ from me.
