question about king cobra vs natrual ice

    if a 40oz of natrual ice is called a adjunct lager which is 5.9% "ice beer" and king cobra is 6% "malt liquor" is the kingcobra really that much stronger? or is it just more full bodied? both are the same price does malt liquor get your drunker because the ingrediants?

    Yes, the 6% is 0.1% stronger than the 5.9% beer so there's not much difference to speak of.

    What gets you drunk is the alcohol.

    Blurred lines there, hoss. Don't get too caught up with the 'malt liquor' vs. 'adjunct lager' delineations when speaking of 40 oz'ers and their equally delectable associates in the 24 oz (+/- 8 oz or so, whatever)... if it's in a tallboy can or fat-ass bottle (glass or plastic) and low-low-priced, it's f'n malt liquor. Enjoy.

    As an aside, I do propose that what we have on here as 'American Malt Liquor' (and 'European Strong Lager') should perhaps have it's own forum section under the 'Other Beverages' line. Whether or not I'd feel motivated enough to steer conversation in such a thread is another question altogether. Could be interesting. I do have fervent opinions on it.

    Well, those bottles of premade Tequila Sunrise might not have really been that good.

    King cobra vs Natural ice = Alcohol water would be better, they just started stocking it here. About the same ABV -Possibly less money without the disgusting taste of both-

    Each to their own of course, but there are plenty of better craft options that achieve the same purpose. Unless cost is in issue, I guess I don't see the point in ordering either one of these nasty beers. Would much rather drink a cold pilsner or helles lager (if I'm in the mood for a lightly flavored, refreshing beverage after a couple hours working in the yard).

    I love Natural Ice! As long as it’s very cold! It has a smooth taste & almost like Budweiser. I packs a punch & very refreshing.

    Gansett Pounders for $6 is really a huge upgrade over either. King Cobra, why Ugh. Damn, I can get Hamms cases at Walmart for like $13-14. You can find cheap and good, vs cheap and crappy.
