Good Rum Barrel Aged beers??

    Who makes D10? Sadly I've only been able to lock down a couple rum beers so far even though I talked to like 5 guys.

    Seems like all the guys who have Cycle for trade only wants to trade for BA Adjunct Trail, Maman, Cocmac or Nilerzzz from my cellar? Didn't realize Cycle traded so high :flushed:

    Derivation 10 by Side Project. That'll be harder to get. It's just a great Rum BA stout, albeit not quite on the level of the other Derivations.

    But, hey, Trillium released BA Macaroon today and that's rum, so there ya go!

    Ohh ok never tried it, but heard it was really good. I had an option to trade for one 1-1 with BAAT, but passed after I had BAAT for the first time man that Adjunct trail is amazing. Luckily I picked up a few bottles. Maybe I'll try the trill one. Not sure how it will be with all that extra brown sugar they added though.

    Bottle Logic brewed the Lost Colony which is a rum barrel aged porter. Wasn't a hit but, to be honest, I didn't think it was too bad. The upside is it's relatively cheap compared to the rest of their Stasis releases.

    I've drank several LC bottles being in So cal and honestly couldn't tell it had any rum at all. Nothing like the cycle stuff I tried that was sweet and delicious like a rum and coke. I was hoping to trade for a few bottles, but I just ended up going to cycle online picking out a few bottles and just eating the excessive shipping costs.

    HF has now released 2 Rum BA versions of Genealogy of Morals. They've both been 1pp though so might be tough to pry away. The first, Akmel Nuri was pretty good, definite rum presence. Have not tried the new one, Duver Rojas, yet

    Rum Last Snow is probably my favorite rum aged beer. It may even be in my top 3. I think I've traded for it 4-5 times now, love that stuff.

    How hard is it to get? The last 5 guys I tried to trade for some cycle bottles wanted to do $4$, but was only interested in bottles that had a HUGE secondary value lol.. I guess if you're going to trade $4$ why not try and get the biggest bottles possible is the thought process.

    I wasn't that difficult to get. All were probably close to $4$ maybe a little higher on my end but then again I was the one wanting it. One had 3 Floyd's, another 450 North, 1 had Upland sours, and I did one with a mix Jackie O's/3 Floyd's. Nothing crazy.

    Only thing i’m throw out there is that opinions vary greatly on Rum BA Last Snow. I know @izzyismyrott is a big fan but a lot of people, including myself, thought it tasted like a hot mess of sun tan lotion and artificial sweetener. That’s the great thing about beer though... Not everyone has to like the same things.

    @KevinJohnson2 is right. Total garage rum last Snow is!!!
    So will take one for the team and accept all unwanted bottles. Don't risk it people

    I'm in agreement here....rum last snow was a hot mess imo. I actually don't know anyone irl that enjoyed it.
