Yeah, one, and it was insultingly bad.

 

Make one for this sole purpose. It's a noble cause, my friend.

 

I'm sure sometimes it has ended well, but I cannot comprehend giving a brewing my money for a club when they have in no way shape or form proven that they are trustworthy, yet alone proven they can make quality product. These types of scenarios seem to rarely end well. FOMO makes people do silly things (I have done such silly things in the past).

 

New email out still no clear timeline other than that "near future" word being used again

 

Wouldn't surprise me if this latest email was a direct response to the social media comments. No need to provide any real updates, but it gives them something to point to as a response.

 

I'm sure it was.. We put the screws to them in front of their fanboy, Berliner lovers..

The email tells me that they are nowhere near ready to release anything. Things should be bottle conditioning or something by now.. But now they are rushing.. Things will be missed, or skipped, and I would not be surprised if the quality suffers big time (see bottle #1).

What I want is the option to pull out of this shit. I would take half price at this point. I don't want their beer anymore.

I appreciate the apology, but we're still stuck with no end in sight.

 

The more I think about this email, the more angry I get.. Our DISCOUNT will last as long as it takes? Our fuckin discount? So, basically, if we want to come to your brewery and spend MORE money, we will get a few bucks off?

FUCK. THAT.

 

But why wouldn't they say that? I get that having to restart due to an infection issue or the like might not be great PR, but it has to be better than "we just took money from these dumbass beer nerds and can't even be bothered to pretend we care about them"...

 

Just a thought: has anyone tried contacting the Brewer's Association about this? Presumably they would care that there is a member brewery in California that makes Golden Roads approach to early investors look good...

 

If this hits the 2-year mark, I think we all start demanding refunds. I will go in and demand it.. I live 3 miles away.

 

I'm sure a future email will let us know that our discount is still valid when we all go in and demand refunds.

It's really a shame because I like their beers, and I like their taproom, but I cannot in good conscience take people there or give them another dime.

 

I'm just curious, could there be any redemption in you all's eyes for this membership? I would be furious if I were in your shoes for sure but I'm a silver lining kind of guy so I just got to wondering what it would take for this business to redeem itself for all who have so far been ruthlessly hosed

 

The beers better be insanely good. Like, mind-blowing.

I am also a Horus member.. And they have been pumping out some of the most delicious beers in the state, if not the country. So, that's the level I would need to ever step foot or spend another penny in that place.

Somehow I don't think that's going to happen, though.

 

It doesn’t even matter to me anymore, In my mind I’ve written off the 300 bucks I spent a year and a half ago with this brewery. The beers can be terrible or world class, I dont care one way or the other anymore.

 

I think that's what they want you to feel...

 

You're more magnanimous than me. honestly I was expecting answers more in line with @Hoppedelic. If it were me I would be requiring a heartfelt apology, top notch beer, some bonus beers thrown in, and something along the lines of a free to attend party where we were given our promised beer along with free food some free pours and some shwag (this would be a great place for them to expand on the heartfelt apology). Sorry you all got hosed here and I do hope they make at least some effort to make you all whole. I will do what I can by avoiding them and spreading the word anytime I do hear chatter about them

 

Just realized I’ve tried a beer from this place and I actually really liked it. That’s a shame.
