Picked up some High Branch Highly Unstable yesterday and it is Awesome! It is a triple hazy IPA coming in at 9.6% and drinks like a 6%er! So good!

Really digging Burial and Bearded Iris's collab, 'Difficulties in Comprehension', hint sweet, and amazing mouthfeel.

Thought that one was way too sweet.

I had it on draft yesterday and thought it was great. My color looked very different then yours though.

Agree that Difficulties in Comprehension was overly sweet and creamy.

It seems more like the problem people have with Casita is that they do non-hazy IPAs, as the only IPAs that people have brought up are hazy IPAs.

And that's fine but we're at a point now where those are two completely different styles of beer and really shouldn't be compared to each other anymore.

I like the non-hazy ones that Burial does now typically more than the hazy ones. Surf Wax has been great lately, Talonsword was great. There’s been a couple others recently that were draft only that were great too that I can’t remember the name of.

New Anthem Flossy checks all the boxes on the the NEIPA front. May be the best I've had in state.

I’ve been going hard on Hopfly’s Beach Beer. One of the better sessions I’ve had.

Really enjoying seeing Incendiary's stuff out in the Raleigh area. The Shift series is some damn fine IPAs.

What are some of yalls faves recently? Any newbies that are musts? The four or so DIPAs I’ve had at burial in the last two weeks were all superb.

New Anthem's Clapback, Flossy, and Kill The Headlights all stood out as dialed in releases.

@Dtrain22 Clapback is a monster DDH Citra DIPA that shouldn't be missed. It's Throwing Shades big brother.

I'll second Clapback. Was impressed with that the other night. Huge fan of Flossy too. Might be the best NA beer I've had.

I can not get down with heist tropic burst. I don’t know what it is. Oh well, just me.

I thought it was awful. Also didn't like Bee Fruitful at all (the honey was overpowering). Have only lived in Charlotte for a few months, and every prior Heist IPA I've had was decent at worst. But these two have made me a bit gun-shy now.

IMO Heist still hasn't fully recovered after their previous head brewer left to start Pinehurst brewing. Sure, there have been a couple of new recipes that are good, but nothing that has topped the IPAs from when Eric Mitchell was still at the helm. Most of the good "new" beers are just rebrandings or variations of brews from when Mitchell was running the show.

Thanks for the info. Still learning about the CLT scene.

My two recent bad experiences didn't stop me from buying some Uber Quenchel (sp?) today lol. Will post what I think after having one.
