I am one of the weird people who actually drinks the beers  I cold care less about the value, etc. I made the guy's day, he was so happy and asked me if I knew what I was doing, lol.

    WHAT!?

I haven't drunk a rare beer in my possession since 1932. I just look at the bottles and occasionally trade them for different bottles to look at.

Sorry to post a serious question here guys but I unfortunately have to attend a funeral on DLD now. I have another buddy going with his own tickets. If I give him my wristband do you see any reason why he can't just put mine on after getting his own and get my allotment as well?

He probably needs to go through the line twice, but shouldn’t be an issue. Also, you can likely find someone who just wants to go for the share / music; possible able to defray the cost by a few dollars. May not be worth the hassle, but could make someone’s day.

I finally bought my shuttle tickets for DLD, so I'm all set on that front now. Taking the West Loop shuttle at 9 am, with a 6 pm return time (although I wouldn't be surprised if we get on an earlier return shuttle).

Not sure if against the rules or not, is anyone still looking for a ticket?

Post this in the Three Floyds Dark Lord Day Facebook group, I see ticket inquiry posts daily and they close quickly.

Odds are most the people posting in this group already have tickets anyhow.

I’m getting pretty excited for dld. Despite the plotting against and collusion.
    It’s a witch hunt.

This was big help. We ended up going with M&M and the Sprinter limo like you suggested. For 11 people leaving from Northbrook, it ended up costing us $503 (round trip), which comes out to only ~$45-46/person. That's a great deal.

Now the only thing is we need to survive from 8:00 A.M. drop-off at DLD until pick-up at 9:00 P.M. :grimacing:

I was the opposite guy. Buying variants in the tap line and swapping pours since I dind't need a full 5oz of any of them on my own.

Completely depends on the person you get checking your bag. Last year my gf's bag got searched and I was in a different line and the security guy didn't even wait for me to finish unclipping the top of my backpack so he could look in before waving me through. I was carrying 2 peoples worth of beer and he didn't even glance.

I've seen this plan before and I just don't know how 10 noobs staying the whole day are going to survive. I was gone by noon my first year and basically shuffled around for several hours like a zombie. It's a miracle that I got home with all of my beer and organs. Guessing you'll need to search all of the bodies on the ground around 8.

No one would look at me and think "that man can last 12 hours at DLD"...but this man can. HE CAN AND HE WILL!

Yeah, you can't beat the deal. I just recommend packing lightly (only the beer/snacks you'll need). There isn't really a trunk, and there won't be that much foot room with 11 people.

Plenty of water, timed feedings and pacing yourself. It's a marathon, not a sprint. I will be missing my first DLD in 11 years this year, thanks to my baby's due date being this week. I only ended up hung over once, and that was because I went out drinking for hours afterward one year (not a smart decision).

I can't say this enough: DRINK PLENTY OF WATER CONTINUOUSLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY

my DLD 2018 story: early Friday morning before last year's DLD, I had an epileptic seizure, was awoken to 2 paramedics carrying me out of the house at 2am (I had no idea I had epilepsy)...got out of the hospital Friday 7am, took a nap and drove 5 hours to Munster. ( Doctor was not too happy.) But no way I was missing it. Well I guess if it happened Saturday I would have. so one year later, seizure free and very rare to be diagnosed at age 46. had to share, seemed metal of me LOL
