Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2019

If you don't mind going a but further, it seems like everywhere Lino Lakes, Hugo, and further north has a ton. Most recently, On the Rocks and MGM Forest Lake.

 

Might be gone in most places. I scored the last bottle at SLL and that was last weekend.

 

Both are still available at Top Valu on Central in Columbia Heights.

 

Any Scorpius sightings yet?

 

The 2018 thread with discussion about infection is locked so I'm posting this here. I just opened the 2018 bottle that I purchased from the Whole Foods downtown last summer (thanks to the folk(s) that posted the heads up on the sighting btw!) and it's tasting great. The aroma is quite nice too! The bottle indicates 0355.

Barrel Theory has cancelled the release of BA Ice Cream Social this Saturday, due to issues with re-fermentation.

 

In E Metro, but Morelli's had several bottles of both yesterday (5/12) on shelf.

 

Anyone find Scorpius in Metro area yet?

 

I know Ansari's is going to have it on tap as part of their Barrel Theory/Toppling Dolphin Sparkles release tomorrow, but I have yet to see it in in stores.

 

How bout BAY? Anyone seen it?

 

SLL had Scorpius yesterday along with Parabola. Also had some Midnight Orange and Wheatwine Bourbon County on the barrels.

 

Stinson had it yesterday and it is delicious this year

 

Elevated has it plus the latest King Sue Canning.

 

If I like King Sue, is Scorpius worth a try?

 

I would say yes.

 

Yes, very similar level of chalkiness.

 

Looks like Lagunitas Phase Change is replacing BAY this year. Would appreciate the heads up when people start to see in the TC metro area.
