Why not just drink a Mai Tai then?

To be honest, pretty much why I would not buy this. This doesn't really sound like a beer to me.

That's fair, if the beer ends up tasting like that. On my end, I've found that the descriptions that HA puts out are hardly ever what I would end up thinking of the beer. Since I liked Blood From The Moon, I will want to give Double BFTM a try.

I've found that half the time I can't tell what the hell they're even trying to say about the beer.

They done did it. Bodem is the best IPA on the market for the price, and the best year round Chicago IPA by a mile. When folks get sick of paying $15 a four pack they might get some competition.

Grabbed a 4 pack yesterday. Now I'm really looking forward to cracking one.

Well, first people need to get sick of paying $20 a four pack!

I know I'm late to the party, but I got to try Smoking Gull the other day and I was surprised how much I liked it. It seemed to have a little sweetness to it that balanced the bitterness.

And as others have mentioned, Bodem is really solid for the price point. It'll be a nice go-to when I'm at the store and don't see anything else catching my eye.

Finally got around to grabbing a pack of Bodem. What a glorious beer. Love the price! Perfect to put in the rotation with SN Hazy Little Thing and Deschutes Fresh Squeezed

    I know, it's the best.

Bodem on sale at my Meijer for $8.99. I passed only because I have so much damn beer in my fridge. I'll probably grab one for this weekend though.

Anyone know if cans of double blood of the moon will last into the evening?

They had ~180 four packs as of a few min ago. Call ahead before you make the trek, but it Should last through the night, as I think the attention is squarely on chasing the most trustworthy of beers in the market today

Holy shit is Bodem good. I'll be buying this a lot. We're just pounding straight from the can right now. Might get fancy and put the next one in the glass...

My neighbor is an ICU nurse. I told him what I was doing next weekend. He said to let him know if I need an IV when I get home. I laughed that sort of nervous laugh...

Thanks man. Made the trek. This beer double blood of the moon is amazing. Sour leading into mango sorbet with a hint of coconut/vanilla. For 11% it's shocking. Everyone was at Goose Island so other good beers hang on the wayside.

You're lucky. The IV is the Cadillac of hangover cures. When I was in the Army we would get IV's after a night of boozing. Nothing better buddy.

Funny thing, he was an army medic in Iraq. And the only other time I've seen or heard of this was with some guys I know from back in the day - one was a marine and the other was a ranger. They were doing IV's on each other at 3am.
