I wish we could pin this so every person had to read it before doing a sale so people aren't complaining about something selling out in 10 seconds.

Wait, on second thought...maybe I don't want to do that.

The TRS-80's machine learning abilities are impressive. One bottle of Henna. Eleven bottles of Mehndi.

What's 'fair' and 'best' seems to shift with whether or not person X got the beer.

I absolutely DO NOT agree that lining up is a better option because I don't think it rewards desire or people that like MoRE. I think it rewards people who have a lot of time on their hands and profiteers who want to bring their 18 mules along for the ride. Not to mention the line cutting, noise, littering and all other aspects that ruin the experience of people trying to get the beer or those living in the neighborhood. And why should people who have families or careers be omitted from being able to acquire a beer (this applies to both weekend and weekday releases)? At least with this on-line first come, first serve approach, if you didn't get it you wasted on the order of minutes of your day.

There are probably 'better' ways of doing these releases, but lining up isn't one of them.

Yeah, it also popped up on the Eventbrite app if you had notifications on / were following More.

It's way more fun watching people scream about tickets being sold out in 0.156 seconds, when the logical people are still getting tickets 10 minutes after they go on sale

Yea I never stop refreshing until it officially says sold out, I did get the ticket button a few times after the set times but it kept booting me saying tickets were unavailable.

Not too butt hurt about it since I didnt spend 8 hours in a line. Im in the job AND family column so its more convenient for me to get a ticket hop in get my bottle and a few beers and be home in a couple hours

I don’t have a problem with MoRE; I have a huge problem with Eventbright. That’s where the problem lies. Use E-tix or another more robust platform. Or beef up your shop and sell them out of the MoRe e-shop. The problem is EventBright is utter garbage.

I found your problem. Nobody has ever gotten a ticket from eventbright.com.

    A 1000 times this...

People need to fucking relax. So some bottles went early, who cares. No ones entitled to the beer and similar beers will be made again. Personally I’m going to take them at their word, and assume they released extra bottles to make the releases whole. In the end, you have a few thousand people trying for a few hundred bottles, so not everyone is going to get one. Shit happens.

I went one for two and am thrilled because I almost never click refresh at the right moment for these. I’ll take this to a line every time. Each release took 5 minutes of my time, and it was over. Lines take way more of a time commitment.

FB comments are hilarious as well. Lots of memes new to me, haha.

    Highlights/lowlights so far include:

    • Pic of the bar inside More with the caption "I'd like a pour of Henna." "Sorry, keg kicked an hour before it was tapped."
    • Pic of Cody Parkey saying "I'm just here for the posts."
    • Michael Jackson eating Tide Pods instead of popcorn.

People like to be bitchy and entitled, and I'm really just not surprised by it anymore. I'll be at DLD, don't really have a job that's conducive to beer related activities mid-day, and I won the Mehndi lottery last time. So I didn't even bother today. It's fun to see everyone all lathered up though.

As someone who isn't on FB or IG, keep the posting of these tools coming. TYIA.

It's only Thursday. He only bathes on Sunday. Something about the Dutch. I don't know. I tune him out after a while to preserve my own sanity. Which mostly hangs by a thread this time of year.

All I know is that I’ll probably meet up with him this weekend to exchange and/or share beers, and if he shows up with some soaps...all blame falls on you.
