What beer are you drinking now? #28

Just wrapped up a stout tasting with some buddies. Knocked out a Silent Night, Event Horizon, Stone RIS, Abyss 10 & 11, and a Parabola. One hell of a night.

 

Loving this! Happy to finally get to try this.

 

Where o where did you find it? I am on the hunt...

Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree

As good a night as any to try this. Almost a year old, and I must say its holding up pretty well. Then again, it's more of a hoppy barleywine than a DIPA.

 

I had a few bottles right when it was released, this is my first one since then. Not quite as over the top lemon/citrus-y as I remember the first couple (can't decide if that's good or not). Nonetheless it's still delicious and dangerously drinkable for a 10% bomber.

 

Diet coke / studying pharm tonight

It's been a long day, but I finally get to crack one open

I just poured a Celebration into my new La Fin During Monde sniffer.
It is my fIrst of the season and it tastes as great as I remember.
I am going to enjoy this while I catch up on the episodes of Walking Dead I missed while the power was out.

I have some fresh Sculpin on deck.

 

I was just considering my next beer and you reminded me that I had one of these in the back of my fridge. My g/f picked it up while I was away in basic training and I completely forgot. Cheers!

An eclectic night tonight, Double Arrogant Bastard, Trader Joe's 2012 Anniversary, & a Kasteel Donker as a nightcap!

Just one sad note: A brief moment of silence for my first and oldest Duvel tulip that did not survive cleaning, my first ever broken "special" beer glass, although "special" it never rode the short-bus, there will be no memorial service, it died as it lived, serving the beverage that was to be its true destiny, it is survived by two younger siblings.
