Was there a separate line for the Group A folks to get in last year or how does it work if your in group A?

there was a separate line, and they made you go straight for bottles. so if you want to find a table or whatever before bottles don't use that line/.

 

So if I’m Group A, I can essentially pick up my allotment whenever I want throughout the day?

 

Correct. Last year they let Group A in a bit early (can't remember how much early) and we had people from our group go secure a table in the tent. No need to get your bottles first thing at this point.

 

Facebook is killing/has killed a lot of forums like this. Hopefully people will soon realize just how bad Facebook's walled garden of content is for the internet.

Alright b-holes, I will be participating in the event as usual (my 11th in a row), but I am getting a little tired of the wandering bottle share - for the last few years I was always stuck in line around people that had nothing to share, which is a major kill to my boner. That has ALWAYS been my favorite part of DLD - sharing beers with strangers (who reciprocate). Don't get me wrong - I don't mind sharing with strangers that have nothing in return, but not for the entire day, which is literally what has happened the last few years.

So, due to either bad luck or more people coming to DLD with nothing to share (usually I assume because they don't know to), I wouldn't mind actually hooking up with some of you extreme douchebags (all of this name-calling is really a facade to hide the fact that I love you).

Anyways, how can we hook up? (1) Should I just follow the trail of urine and vomit? No, there will be hundreds of those trails. (2) Give a general description of myself and hope that we happen upon each other? If that's the case then I am 6 foot, blond hair, will be wearing my "I love Air Supply" shirt, will be accompanied by my wife (insert the walk of Shame and ringing of bells from GoT here), may or may not have a big red shanker depending on the sharing experience so far, etc. (3) Or should we PM some info like cell numbers for texting? I'll bring good stuff for sure - have some Other Half stouts and many other things.

 

I'm not an expert, but you may have better luck with sharing if you approach people without the boner?

 

I'll probably be in an Arkane hat with a big fat black backpack and my lil old lady with a red backpack, hopefully having smuggled in some more breakfast cereal, and a few other goodies I haven't settled on.

 

Getting there at 10am? So you're taking a half day??

I will try to get there more like 8:30-9 and loiter around the holding pen. I will keep an eye out for my fellow FR share degenerates. Pretty sure @IlCraftWjgman wants to play too.
