Haven't been since Slough Feg leveled the place in '10 or '11. Bring the ruckus back and I'll drunkenly air-guitar the night away.

    - Chemtrail was more spiced than what I remember in the past
    - I second the positive thoughts on Loadstar
    - More people who had rrari, how was it?
    - Favorite t-shirt was probably the one about Robocop shooting the guy in the dick
    - The overall amount of money spent on beer at this thing is greater than the national gnp of Venezuela, this is crazy
    - To the gentleman in the all green rainsuit and his friends near the exit: it was a misunderstanding, nothing worth getting salty about.

No. But the shutting down the taps & food and clearing the tents out can?

The Harlem Chopped Cheese was money with a Cheer Team. I traded my Lounge for a Loadstar. Had a few variants and some 2018 variants as well. Was super bummed about the fest screeching to a halt with the lightning. I wanted to see more bands, but had to head home. Had a great time though! Met some great people, shared some great beers. Cheers everyone!

I got a bottle of Ryebadl but wasn’t able to sample - how is it? Any tasting notes?

I had 4 different variants on tap after the storm. I will later realize that was very expensive.

I am still empty handed in my quest for a Lounge Against the Macro-machine.

What a great day. Wonderful to see a bunch of you, lots of crazy beers and generosity.

My buddy and I volunteered to run our group’s allotments back to the hotel - turned out to be perfect timing. Rain hit just as we left. Waited it out in the hotel and rehydrated in the AC, came back in and hit the taps hard. Double pours of ‘rrari and chem, Ronaldo and Brozerker, brotilla, and more. Then Yum Yum has no line and Cycle’s More Rare Scoop and Trillium BA macaroon were pouring - gave me a full cup of both for a sum total of $12.

I got cavaleiro - tried a little on draft. I think it’s very, very good. Complex and not a sugar bomb.

Hope everyone had a wonderful time and stayed safe. Cheers!

I got Rye BADL as well but didn’t have an opportunity to try it on draft. Hung, Drawn and Quartered was awesome last year though so I have pretty high expectations.

Anyone hitting the taproom today? There's usually some leftovers on tap, and with what sounds like a 2 hour window of no pours and a decent % of people just leaving..there might be something pretty good on tap.

Damn, that sucks. They checked my bag pretty thoroughly but didn't seem to care that I was around 100 oz.

Good times as usual. Got to try a ton of variants again, and I definitely think Chemtrail was top dog. I actually thought it was best out of the 3 years- that beer just keeps getting better.

Lodestar was amazing too. Brosure was ok, way to port-y for me. Rarri was good but not as good as I was hoping it would be. Handjee was probably the biggest disappointment. It was a lot thinner and less vanilla-y than past years.

I ended up with a regular BBADL. Never tried it so I’m excited. Buddy got a Reptilefund. So that’s up for grabs if anyone is really looking for it. On a 200 bottle count beet were hoping someone might be!

BBADL was a 600 count too, if that hasn’t been mentioned yet

Anyone try bba dvr? I didn’t get to and that was my variant.

So that was my first DLD and it was awesome. Got the whole experience - showed up at 9am, left at 9pm. Even managed to enjoy ourselves in the rain just exchanging pours and bullshitting around with random strangers. That was the best part about waiting in variant lines...just meeting and drinking with people who were all very generous with pours of great beer. Got to try Handjee, Chemtrail, and FVM on tap. My bottle variant was Loadstar, which I'm excited to try. I didn't get to try it on tap but I've heard it's very good.

After the storm passed there was finally room to hang out in the tent and that was a good time too. We found half full bottles of some very good beers just lying around that other people left, and we'd just drink those with other people hanging around the table. I also noticed the tap stations got more generous with their pours later in the day. I got a regular Dark Lord around 10am and they gave me what looked like 5 or 6 oz. I did the same thing at 8pm and they filled the cup to the brim.

Also, you guys were very accurate when you said how strictly rules are enforced when you enter depends on who is checking you. We noticed the person in front of us getting checked very thoroughly in our line, and the lady checking him was the only one who had a pile of water bottles that had been taken away sitting on her table. We moved to a different line and I got in with all of my beer and water no problem.

Definitely intend to do this again next year.

I can see how Cavaleiro can be mistaken as “300” in count (thanks to the thin, yellow, background’s vertical line of artwork), but I feel that it’s “800” in count. I have one, so it would have been just a tad more cool of it were the lower count.
