    Figured you’d comment
And speaking of Tree House, I don’t recall seeing you drink Green or Julius lately?

No, I haven't had a Green or Julius recently. I forget the last thing I've had from them. It was probably one of the Curiosity series, and a Bbbrighttt Galaxy. Cheers!

Here's one for all you Game of Thrones fans. I absolutely loved the ride, but I have yet to watch the final episode, so don't ruin it for me. Cheers!!!

Ok, this was on tap, and I was intrigued by @TongoRad and @zid talking about it on this week’s NBS - DuPont/Allagash Brewer’s Bridge:

Ok, really a frustrating day at work got me thinking about the bar, this being on helped push me towards the trip. Not as huge a Saison DuPont fan as many, but hard to pass up such a collaboration.

Gotta say I agree a lot with what @TongoRad wrote two days ago. I would sway towards an earthy note more that a woodsy/twig description he gave, one that turns slightly “dirty” by the end as the beer dries up considerably. Straw, lemon peel, pepper, spice, with light bread/cracker malt opening that is brief as it dries before hitting mid-palate.

I bought a 4pack of bottles the other day and I reckon it is very good. Don't know a thing aboot the collaboration brewery with Dupont but the influence of Dupont reminded me of their dry hopped Saison.

    Time to review it...

Go for it!! The addition of rye that the listing indicated seemed to stand out more distinctly after I saw it. Surprised you aren’t aware of Allagash, even being from Canada, eh.

Seriously though, it’s probably my east coast bias that has me thinking it's more nationally known (even though I think their footprint isn’t that large).

A very nice collaboration between the UK's Buxton and the US' Angry Chair. While the coconut isn't too pronounced here, I think this just has a lovely balance of sweet, coconutty and roasted/bitter, licorice notes going on that works out quite well. Many thanks @gavinbrooksbank for the can.

Ginormous MK6 from Gigantic brewing. IPA with Cascade and Galaxy. Was pretty excited to try this one but I gotta say, it kind of tastes like a missed attempt at homebrewing a double two hearted.

I've only had 4 beers from Allagash so I don't consider myself knowledgeable aboot their beers. And I had them quite a few years ago. Odyssey was my favourite.

I had that beer on tap a few weeks before having it in bottles. I enjoyed the bottles much more. I’m the type who usually thinks that the circumstances of the day make a bigger impact than a keg vs bottle, but seeing your photo and the itty bitty head reminds me of when I had it on tap... and the tremendous head in @TongoRad ’s NBS pic reminds me of having it from a bottle. It could be the pour, but it might be an intended difference in carbonation due to it going through lines. I always wondered if the second fermentation stage when Dupont beers in the bottle are placed on their side had a equivalent process for their kegged beer. I assumed so given that it’s considered an essential component of its character.
