There’s never going to be a public release of Derivation again, Cory’s said that multiple times.

Thanks - coming down Thursday through Saturday next week, no hopes of it still there but that's okay - there's plenty to drink.

Was more shocked to see that they're gonna be closed Fri, Sat, Sun - I will get to go there there Thursday the 30th, but I would have been really irritated if I planned a trip specifically down there for them and they close out of the blue? Is this common for them? I can see getting rented out and closing for a night, but for three whole days, and they only announce it the week before?

They are closed that week every year pretty much because of them going to firestone festival

It's usually up on the Side Project Cellar for at least a month in advance too. Still a bummer if it lines up with a trip.

The Side Project Brewery is open Sat & Sun so Friday is really the only day where there's no open Side Project bar option.

Wow I never knew that. Why's that festival so important as to close down shop for a few days? The entire staff goes?

    Nope

Basically the whole staff. There’s like what, 10 employees including Cory & Karen themselves? Most of them go to it since SP always has the biggest line.

I've always wondered why they don't do many festivals--guess they have to pick and choose with a staff that small. That then begs the question, why not do a different festival each year...

I'll still sleep fine at night.

But do you think they'll public release d12?

The brewery will be open that Saturday & Sunday that you are in town. Just the cellar that is closed.

NO. Derivation. Will. Not. Be. Public. Release. Ever. Again. @coryking has said as much many times.

Actually leaving town Saturday morning - so Thurs and Fri nights were the only options. More interested in the cellar than the brewery really - I don't know why - maybe because the name is cool? Anyway, I'll be there Thursday night if anyone wants to split 9 or 10 bottles with me and the wife.

No public release to-go for Oude La Ruche.

I wonder if it'll only show up at special events or if it'll have a limited announced on-site run - there's only two barrels so I'd assume it's treated similarly to Oude Fermier b2
