Is Han Shot First the one with ghost peppers in it? If so, that was probably your wife who poured us some while we were in line for Handjee. Much appreciated!

 

We’ll be drinking half of our booty in 2 weeks during my wedding weekend: FVM, Rrari, Lounge Against, Brosure (yeah! My contribution), and Chemtrailmix.

Other half will be for our annual Labor Day meet up: Handjee, Chemtrailmix, Loadstar, Brosure (yeah!!!), and FVM.

Was a bit weird my whole crew didn’t get one non-adjunct variant. We got FVM, Brosure and Chemtrailmix multiples though.

 

did they / you try swapping for other variants? it seems to be quite rampant right after the fest.

 

We didn’t try, although probably should have. Everyone was having a good time, and just didn’t feel like putting in (any!) effort.

 

not even necessarily limited to the fest. i feel like the great lakes IP trade forums usually have people swapping variants for a week or 2 after DLD. and perhaps there are local chicago FB trade groups?

Wanted to get some input from you guys since I didn’t get to try fvm. I got two variants this year, bba x dvr and fvm. I decided to sell my fvm to recoup some costs and I’m realizing it’s value is wayyyy lower than I expected. I’d be very lucky to get 150.

Should I just hold it and hope people realize fvm isn’t as shit as it’s been in the last couple years? I had a guy offer me a mehndi and I think I can get him to throw in some cash too if needed.

 

I really liked FVM this year, and am happy I got it. I think folks are just going by past years, and didn't actually try it this year.

 

Yeah and I’ve been hearing that from a lot of people here. Only saw one guy who said he hated it this year. I guess the value can’t get worse than the current 100 it is at, so maybe I should just sit on it.

I did not get a bottle, but did have a taste at DLD, and thought it was very good. Good balance of sweetness and coffee. Had the 18 last year at the brewpub on the monday after and thought it was a sweet mess with no distinct adjuncts coming through. I'd hold onto it. I have to imagine that as more people have it, they will have similar reactions as to what a few are saying here. And FWIW, untappd also seems to be giving it much love as well.

 

Selling beer is frowned upon on this site.

Personally I don’t care if people sell their bottles. It’s their bottle and they can butt chug it or sell or do whatever.... but you can see how people would think you’re selling your bottle, right?

 

This was my first DLD and I haven't tried past versions of FVM, but I tried it this year and thought it was really good. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually liked it better than Chemtrailmix.

 

Oh I wasn’t saying I wasn’t trying to sell, I was saying it’s not gonna sell because nobody wants fvm this year it seems. Not trying to get anyone worked up here, I’ll keep it to trade talk going forward. Cheers
