Haha! This ain’t Utah.

 

Highland Rustic IPA, a collab with SN. Sorry I drain poured it, it’s rare I don’t like a beer to the point I do this and throw out the other 3. Terrible finish, it’s weirdly funky, no fruit to speak of, really harsh and kinda burns the back of the throat. Could be a combo of the wheat and hops, don’t know, sometimes wheat doesn’t work for me and this certainly doesn’t work. For my palate a very high yuck factor, although fresh Highland IPA s terrific. This beer is well under 30 days old too.

Out on the North Fork for a wedding this weekend. Pit stopped at Jamesport Farm Brewing.

 

Some yard work done. I swear I did not plan two peach flavored Berliners in a row. I actually had two in my fridge coincidentally.

This one from FFF is other level. The aroma is dripping with sweet, juicy peach. Lemon juice and vinegar. Peach yogurt. All spritzed with a dash of melted plastic Brettanomyces. The bottle says it’s fermented with Brett, which is apparent on the nose and flavor. Sweet peach on the palate that never quite takes over due to a gritty acidity which is refreshing, while digging deep into the jowls like straight lemon juice. A bit musty and plasticy too. I have to believe this beer used Lactobacillus somewhere in the process. If not, then they’ve wonderfully coaxed some acidity and tartness our of the peach.

Really excellent beer.

Grass is cut shame I didn't find any growing in that jungle. Is memorial day weekend a bad time to drive to Wisconsin to replenish? Judas Priest is in Rosemont on the way back

 

We were all active and stuff until around noon

It's getting hotter so all we're doing now is sitting on the porch, drinking
Maybe pool time later

4.5 ABV, full of fruit, I wish it was a little more sour, but still great for hot days

The Devils of Azure hath been smotened (think that’s proper archaic conjugation)! Bring on the Lions of Nittany (or the Dogs of Bull)!!

Not that I needed an excuse to pop this great beer, but that UVa double-OT victory to get to the lacrosse championship game was very reminiscent as late March.
