    @lloydboss

This list from a Places search will identify all Columbus Breweries, Bars and Eateries that are in the BA database. I have only been to Hoof Hearted and Barley's Smokehouse during trips thru Columbus, and I enjoyed them both. The beers were a notch or two above average, but I don't recall anything outstanding. Hoof Hearted is close to Wolf's Ridge and Seventh Son which had a food truck there when I visited.

Wolfs ridge or hoof both have food. Hoof gets the nod for IPAs, Wolf gets it for food/stouts/sours. The crest gastropub has good food and a good beer list on the non-brewery side.

9:00 PM flight? With a somewhat limited time window like that, I'd say come to Easton and pick from Pies and Pints, WoB, or Flip Side. The airport is right down Steltzer road from there.

Thanks for the recommendations. I ended up going with Pies & Pints in Easton tonight. Chicken Gouda pizza & went Jackie Os Who Cooks For You > Fat Heads Benjamin Danklin > Wolfs Ridge Toffee Time for my beers. Good spot to hang out before heading to the airport.

Glad to hear it worked out. And if you end up in town again next year, Forbidden Root will have a spot right there at Easton as well.

If you were in Dublin, you shoulda hit the Pint Room on 161-Riverside. There is also a new entertainment area within walking distance with a 16 Bit Arcade and other various crap. Not a bad place to hit if you’re in the area for a day/night:

Gonna be in town for Sonic Temple Festival starting this Thursday. Staying about a mile from Wolf's Ridge so plan on hitting that and Seventh Son most likely.
Has anyone seen beer by Half Acre in the area? Assuming no, but I'd rather just ask and be sure. Maybe Weldwerks?

I've seen some Half Acre in distro at a few shops, but not very often. Never any Weldwerks.

Thanks. I figured as much but thought I'd throw it out there in case.

I would highly highly recommend driving to Athens which is an hour SE of Columbus (it's an easy drive via the highway) and going to Jackie O's and Littlefish if you ever return.

Both breweries make incredible beers, and they both have a very laid back chill hippie vibe (Jackie O's Taproom does at least, the 2 bars in downtown Athens are more college crowded but that's cool too)

Half Acre is currently all over. Check Kenny Rd Market or Weilands. They each have several offerings from HA.

For these reasons. And along those inconsistency lines, skip Platform. If you still want to try some Hoof I would recommend a Daily Growler location where you can and also have a good beer and not feel like you have been abducted by aliens.

Wolf’s Ridge is first without question though. From there it’s a crapshoot unless you like sours (balanced ones), than hit Pretentious for sure.

A lot of bars that are as good of options as breweries.

Was back in town last night & hit up Pint Room with some coworkers. Definitely enjoyed the beer & food, thanks for the recommendation & keeping it brown

Not particularly close to Dublin but I’ve been keeping tabs on draft room’s tap list and they always have some interesting stuff especially on the IPA front. Something to keep in mind next time your back. They’re out in Westerville.

@grover37 - I loved Seventh Son, over all the others I tried. Hoof disappointed (in major ways, but maybe just because they didn't have anything interesting on tap when I was there last April). I totally dug the vibe and space at SS however. Wolf's Ridge was good too, but more of a restaurant and then a large taproom in the back. Too many people. To each their own...

Among the newest (and best) locations in town is the long awaited Columbus Brewing Company Taproom. And Sideswipe is extremely close by CBC- I've not visited there yet myself though.

    Some events of note -

Wolf's Ridge - celebrating International Stout Day today with some special releases on tap.
Barley's - Christmas Ale kegs cracked Friday at 7:00 PM - and live music
Hoof Hearted - Dual can release at the brewpub yesterday - I'd guess they'd last to the weekend.
Columbus Brewing Company - Thank A Veteran IPA new on tap. Partial proceeds from sales to charity.

Just tapped a pilot of Dagobrah System this morning. This time brewed with Kveik yeast, cashmere, sabro, simcoe, and citra cryo. It's ugly as sin. lol
Thank a Veteran is bangin, IMO.

+1 to Wolf's Ridge, Columbus Brewing Co and Hoof Hearted brewery suggestions as well as hunting down Jackie O's bottles. Wasn't too impressed with Pretentious last time I went.

Shout out to Watershed Distellery as well, I know it's a beer forum but if you're looking for Liqour, I recommend it. Whenever I come through C-bus I'll grab a cocktail and a bottle of bourbon barrel aged gin.
