Personally, I prefer six month-old Heady to fresh. (Just don't drink the bottom of the can). It goes crystal clear and smooth as glass and drinks like a dream.

I'm pretty sure that I remember that Focal started out as the same base beer but that Mr. Kimmich substituted Citra and Mosaic (for the above-referenced six-unknown-American-hops-but-including-Simcoe-and-Amarillo). Focal starts to fall off significantly for me after about a month or so.

Go figure. The more I know, the less I understand.

I totally prefer HT to have some time on it. It’s become a bit too intense for my taste over the past few years

My folks have a basement fridge set at just above freezing and I keep a stash of assorted beers there for emergency purposes. I had a heady last night for the first time in a while that was at least 4-5 months old.
Poured bright and hazy after I rolled the can a bit and was superb. Zero chunkies.

I’ve had this experience consistently, it’s probably the most consistent IPA of its ilk

The point of not needing can dates makes sense to me when your footprint is an Uber small pocket of Northwestern Vermont. Makes less sense the farther out you go.

That said, 3 one-off drops of heady topper hardly sounds like a dumping ground for old product. My guess is they just made some connections out there and wanted to do something fun.

I had the Squidgy Black on draft for Montbeerlier at Three Penny Taproom. It is absolute fire. One of the smoothest BA Impy Stouts I have had with ZERO trace of any alcohol whatsoever. Very dangerous stuff.

Has Rapture been for sale yet? I have not seen it on the website yet but may have missed it if it was only around for a few days.

Galaxy-citra IPA from The Alchemist. What's to think about?

Maybe the only new IPA I'd ISO.

Whoa! If I could get Heady at my local packie, that’s all I would ever drink.

Most likely the same deal as NY, bars/restaurants get cans fairly regularly; on-site only.

PA permits off-site purchases, so there's potential for MA
