Any proof to this, or is it GI hater rumors. The bottles have the bottle date on them and the yr. Did they relable them and send them out?

Also never said they should get a pass but to cluch your pearls that they had an infection issue when TONS of others at a 1/5 of the volume have them too is nonsense. In my estimates they did right by ppl. I spent 100's on BCBS that yr and didn't have any that were infected. Ppl I know did, drank their bottles and still got their money back. There have been brewieres that haven't done that.

I was impressed by all of those, with the exception of Prop, which I did not have.

When I look back on it, I was probably most impressed by Midnight Orange, although my ratings from the time probably do not reflect that.

Not a strawman. I'm simply saying by your logic, no brewery can claim to have one of the best BA programs if they have had an infection issue. That's nonsense.

I know you're one of those, "F AB inbev!!!" neckbeards who is chomping at the bit to get on a thread and give them the business, we get it. Everyone I know who had issues got their money back if they followed the protocol they laid out. I know of dudes who got money back for beers they drank early with no signs of infection.

Also, never cease to amaze me the entitlement some craft beer dudes have. "GI should brew the beer I want, in the correct size, for the correct price that I want!". I live in Central Florida and cycle, angry chair, cigar city, have raised the price of their beers. Jwake at the last wakefest lowered the ticket bottles from 750s to 500s and charged the the price as the 750s like the yr before. It's the name of the game when demand is high.

Or they could get their hands on 5 Pappy barrels(one for each varient) Then blend them in with the main batch and call each one "Rare."

And for the record I was a huge fan of Bourbon County on 12oz bottles. I despise the new larger format.

I'm talking about the 2019 variants. The oyster one sounds interesting, I guess. We didn't get any variants in 2018, but I thought they sounded interesting; this year, not so much.

Not that we ever get it around here other than one case a couple years ago, but it sucks that the coffee Stout isn't coming back again this year either. That beer is my absolute favorite of all time.

In Colorado Bud owns their own distribution company. The bottles that were recalled were redistributed the following year to several stores in the Denver metro area on "accident". Several mentions in the mountain forum with photos to back it up. If the relabeled them how would anyone have caught it? I get it, there are fans of the beer who don't see the forest for the trees on this one. Either someone truly had no clue what was going on, or they were intentionally re released. Either way its shady. If I put recalled parts on a car my ass would go to jail. I certainly wouldn't be receiving fan boi glory.

That's not my logic at all, if you have 'literally' the biggest infection problem (by volume) ever, deny it for months, then admit some are infected, then start giving refunds, then admit more then you first said are infected, then create an arbitrary cutoff for refunds, you're not the best barrel aged brewery. The Bruery for example has had plenty of infected beers, and not once have they stuck people with beers they admitted were infected. GI had to cutoff the refunds because it was costing them millions, that's how bad they fucked up, and they decided to just shut it down and screw their customers who lined up on BF.

I'm actually not anti-GI, they make some good beers, along with plenty of garbage that they effectively force people to buy at arenas and stadiums via anti-competitive practices. I like some of the sour sisters (wish they were less expensive/ more common in 4pks) and I liked regular and vanilla this year. I thought Islay was one of the best new beers of the last 5yrs, thank you very much.

You're from Florida dude, no one gives a fuck about JWB and his $25 2/pp dingleberry goses or whatever the hell he's making, talk about some neckbeard shit. Beer should be getting less expensive, not more expensive. There is absolutely no logic by which GI or really anyone, should need to charge 2x as much for a beer today, than they charged 2yrs before, much les a brewery owned by the biggest multinational brewry in the history of the world, apologists for ABINBEV, I'll never understand them. I don't even have beef with the variants pricing since it's basically the same as it was in 22s, but I'd buy a hell of a lot more regular if it went back to the old format and $/oz.

It's not entitlement, clearly plenty of people don't think it's priced correctly anymore as there are mountains of it at basically every liquor store in DC, and will continue to be until they figure out some way to get rid of it in the early fall right before they dump the 2019 BCBS right back on retailers.

unless you subscribe to it's all "FAKE NEWS" there is an overwhelming timeline of events & facts that scream : "NOT THE BEST PROGRAM".

p.s. i didn't get any money back - so now you know someone who didn't. they ruled out the date on the bottles i bought even though two i had were clearly in the early stages of turning.

Geeses Island screwed up here for sure. If they had any sense at all, they would have relabeled the infected bottles as "Funky Cherry BCBS" and sold it as a 2016 variant.
