El Dorado Punch is on the taplist for Green City so sounds like we might get cans next week or the week after.

El Dorado Punch was my least favorite of the punch family thus far. Too much burn on the backend and it was overly sweet to me

 

Agreed. I am not a fan of the style anyway, and even accounting for that, this did not work for me.

BTW it was downright eery pulling in to the parking lot at 230 on a Sunday with no cars in the lot and entering a dead empty tasting room.

 

said the same thing when I pulled up. Very odd seeing the entire place empty. Was a quick in and out however for me.

I tend to like some of the other punches, but this was just way off for me.

Selfishly I am hoping for something to come from that coolship sooner than later to enjoy on these hot days

 

The Grisette, which was the first beer they brewed over there, is going to be pouring at Green City, so maybe soon. I wasn't around all weekend, heard mixed things about El Dorado Punch, but I want to try it. I hope for more stuff like Eastern Sky, I think its their best IPA in a while. I like Mosiac Punch the best probably and OG Waimea second. I think my last fav thus far has been Galaxy punch, I just couldn't get into it.

 

Galaxy punch was rough. One of my least favorite Kane beers maybe ever. El Dorado was okay. Much better than galaxy but not up to par with Mosaic and Waimea.

 

I really enjoyed Galaxy Punch but I also love Pink Guava which I feel is a polarizing fruit. I really wanted to get El Dorado punch since I was at my parents for the weekend for father's day but them not being open for draft was too hard of a sell given that its an hour each way.

 

My guess is most people were taking advantage of the beautiful weather...pools, ponds, boats & oceans...that sorta thing.

 

anyone tried any of the newer releases like retractable skeg or lonely highway? was just wondering how they were. was really impressed with other relatively newer releases like sea stares back again, whitehall, summer moon, and the revamped corduroy lines...

 

I lean toward more traditional beers and don't really like hazies. Overhead and Head High are my two favorite beers of all time. That said Retractable skeg is phenomenal, and some of their best work.

 

Had Head High for the first time this past week. It was fantastic. The NJ beers I've had in general have been tremendous.

 

Mosaic Punch is as good as I remember. my fav punch still

 

Kane teasing ANTEAD barrels on Instagram. Anyone have any insider info on a release date?

Yeah sorry it was on their story yesterday so I think its gone. Mentioned sampling barrels back in April so I'm optimistic. Anyone remember when they normally do the release? I recall it varying...

 

Typically around every 16 months. Last release was September 2018.
