I saw some at the Food Emporium on the west side manhattan a few weeks back

 

Reciprocal cans as well: A lot more BB is showing up around NY, including draft accounts of Nothing Gold, Umbra, among others

 

What's the scene like these days? I haven't been there in a year.

Heading up to Portland Friday and Saturday.

Do I need to go Friday to get Substance? Or can I wait until Saturday to pick up Reciprocal and Substance?

 

Not sure when they dropped but if it was somewhat recent they should both be around on Saturday. Cans definitely aren't moving as fast as they used to outside of the hype releases.

 

They're releasing Substance this Friday, and Reciprocal Saturday.

 

I've seen Substance in Westchester County a couple times over the past few months.

 

Curious if the HTFGATT cans are still available at the brewery (released last Sat). Will be visiting Sun evening - Thurs morning. Hoping to get HTFGATT, Preserve and Protect, and Reciprocal cans. Odds that any or all still at brewery Sun evening, Monday open?

 

I went up on Saturday June 15th, I got there around 1:30 and it was pretty mellow there. Had no problem picking up what I wanted. So to answer some of the questions above. I don't think you'll have a problem going there any day and picking up Substance. Reciprocal I'd guess will be there for at least a week. HTFGATT is still available as of today based on their Instagram (along with Substance, Lux, and Engram). If I were a betting man I'd say HTFGATT will be hit or miss to be available much longer. The release schedule isn't super exciting this week, I don't think Preserve and Protect is a huge draw and no one's going to run up for Substance or Reciprocal. Weather isn't great until Saturday so probably not going to be super busy until then.

So bottom line my personal opinion is that Substance, Reciprocal, and Preserve & Protect will last well into next week. HTFGATT is questionable. Last time I was there was March and it was mellow as well. When I went on Saturday last week Nothing Gold from the previous Saturday release was gone and I believe it was still showing available on Friday night so my rule of thumb would be that popular releases will be gone within 7 days of release give or take a day. Outside of some sort of event/great weather weekend they aren't selling out same day or even within a few days.

 

OK, appreciate the info. If anyone on here able to grab a 4 pack of HTFGATT before it's gone, I'll be in town Sun 6/23 evening to Thurs 6/27 morning, staying close to downtown so available to meet for exchange. Planning to visit Portland breweries Weds 6/26 if want to share a beer. Message me if anyone interested. I posted to BA IP Forum (got no replies) and have also posted to Bissell FB group (no success yet there either).

 

Good luck, hope you find some HTFGATT. It might be one of my favorite BB beers so far or at least darn close.

 

Are they listing daily can availability anywhere? Not looking for case counts or anything, just what they are selling. Website has release schedule but couldn’t find anything listing what they have for the day. I know they post on Instagram sometimes, anything more consistent?

 

I think they post the day's can availability to their Instagram story every day.

 

Cans have been showing up pretty regularly at Bier Cellar also the past few months.

How has Subby been lately? Last time I had it (6+ months ago) it was a shell of its former self.

Have they changed back to the former recipe or still rolling out sub par Subby?

 

Will be there Saturday really hoping HTFGATT is still available but not holding my breath.

 

I was there today and I've got some bad news for you. You were wise to not hold your breath. I got there at around 5 and they were already sold out of HTFGATT (and Baby G).

I had Subby on tap for the 1st time in over a year. It was solid. I liked it better than the cans I got last year. Still, not as good as I remember it from a couple years ago (but who knows, I don't actually remember exactly what it tasted like- just how I felt about it).

 

I just grabbed an 8/6 can and I thought it was exactly how I remembered. Hazy, dank, piney, juicy. Clean flavors overall.
