Thought it was an expansive space, but nothing else really stood out to me enough to return. What interests me now is if a more high-profile and rapidly expanding brewery will come in and start using the space. Modern Times SF? Stone’s Mission District Burrito Bistro? Fieldwork West?
I wonder if we're thinking of the same place. Southpaw was pretty small, with something like a 5 barrel system. They barely promoted their own beer there. I drank cocktails there. Are you thinking of Southern Pacific by any chance?
Southpaw was pretty good, sad to see it go. I also went for their cocktails over beer though, so it would be nice to see them use the extra space more efficiently. Southern Pacific was the Oakland place right? Did not care for most of their beer but loved the vibe. As far as I know they're already using the space again but it looks like a temporary deal, since they didn't change the buildout or even a lot of the furniture. Fieldwork Oakland would be awesome, right on BART. They'd have to up their food game though with all that space
Southern Pacific is in SF - it's a really big place off 19th Street between Folsom and Harrison. It's great for larger team meetups since they're large and have outdoor space.
