What does NG Strawberry Rhubarb 4 packs retail for? Coming into downtown Milwaukee next Tuesday. Should these still be available?

 

Should be about $12 or less. I haven't seen a lot of places that have it but the ones that do shouldn't be sold out. Try Woodmans maybe?

 

I don't pay attention to pricing really (NG stuff outside the R&D releases is so well-priced that I just grab it), but I think Thumbprints are generally somewhere around $10.99 a 4-pack, aren't they? So $11 or 12 seems like a fair expectation on SR.

 

$10.99 is correct unless you stop at Mars Cheese Castle. Please don't do that.

Any tips on whether Dancing Man is sticking around on the schedule for July? I promised a relative some who is visiting in late summer, and I'm not due back up there for a bit. Trying to decide how much of my diminishing stash I need to hide from myself.

 

Hitting up Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee for a few days this coming week. Looks like the Kenosha Woodmans is open 24 hours. Thought about running the gauntlet one night after the kids are asleep if I'm still up for it. Any chance SR is still around? Also, are there any restrictions on package alcohol sales after a certain time in Kenosha? Thanks all.

 

I was actually at that Woodmans today and couldn’t find SR. Did they have plenty of anything else you could want from NG

Yep. Thanks guys. DK why I didn't just go to their website to begin with. Liquor dept is open 8am-8:45pm daily.

 

Our liquor laws in Wisconsin are pretty good, the one exception is liquor stores in almost all cities having to close at 9PM.

 

Despite spending much of my life in Wisconsin (my grandparents have a house there which I visit pretty constantly), I still found this out the hard way when trying to buy beer in Lake Geneva after 9. I was staying in a hotel there, and the overwhelming sobriety of that evening was pretty bleak.

 

Did they at least have free HBO?

 

Bells general store in Williams Bay has a permit to sell beer and wine until midnight.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before when the biennial “where to eat/sleep/drink in LG” thread gets started but I feel like a broken record on those threads. Besides Bell’s the Mobil in Delavan Inlet and in Delavan proper sell until midnight. I would have to look it up but there’s a bar/drive up liquor store near the brick road (downtown Delavan) that sells until bar time.

 

Just to get it out there: state statute prohibits to-go wine or spirits sales after 9, but to-go beer sales can technically go until midnight; most municipalities just cut it all off at 9 to be consistent. Some don't.

 

It’s my annual plead to the kind beer folks of the Midwest to make my wishes come true. The beer vote is live on the website and if you can spare it, throw a vote to old English porter. Peace & love, peace and love.
