does anyone know any more info about this? The Eventbrite page is a little lacking and I’m wondering if it’s dog-friendly or even how pours will work. Anyone know from the 2017 edition?

You should mention this is at Oxbow in far away Maine.

Nah, it’s not in far away Maine. It’s in Portland at Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse like it was in 2017.

I went back and looked at my ticket info from 2017. It doesn’t say anything about dogs there, but I do feel like there were dogs last time.

Last time I recall pours were included in the price and i think you could get half/full pours. I could be wrong there.

Sorry, not too keen on the details as it seems forever ago. I will say it was the best fest I went to that year-location, weather, beers, all clicked.

You could also email Oxbow and or Eventbrite for additional info. Good luck.

Ah - apologies then. Saw it was Oxbow and assumed it was at the brewery.

They've had a location in Portland for at least a few years now. They do their fall event, Goods from the Woods, at the original location in Newcastle.

For those attending, it looks like the event hours have changed from 12-5 to 3-8, but I haven’t seen an official announcement.

My eventbrite tickets still indicate 12-5, but when you click event details, time is listed as 3-8.

I believe the 3-8 time reflects when it was at Firestone Walker

No idea about FW event, but thanks. Oxbow's events page also lists it as 3-8 for this year, but as I mentioned my tickets indicate 12-5. Checked photos from 2017 and it falls into the 3-8 range as well.

Don't want people to show up at 12 based on what their tickets may say if it's really 3.

Thanks, Jay. Mine do as well through the app. However, I was looking through the email where my tix were 12-5 and details listed 3-8. Then I confirmed it with Oxbow that EB was to send out a correction. Never got it.

    See you there!

It’s a great event and well run. A minor hiccup. I’ll be in Portland the whole weekend so just wanted to get the time straight for myself and others attending.

I was previewing the list of participating breweries and realized although I am familiar with many of the American participants, I am woefully unaware of many of the Italian/German participants. Does anybody have any strong recommendations towards any of the following breweries?

    - Bierstadt lagerhaus
    - Birra Elvo
    - Birra Mastino
    - Birrificio Arigianale B20
    - Birrificio Italiao
    -Birrificio Rurale
    - Birrone

Not very familiar with the Italy based breweries either except for Birrificio Italiano and their Tipopils. They were at the fest in 2017. Bierstadt Lagerhaus is in Colorado not Germany. Their beers are are very well regarded. I'm very excited to sample their beers.

What a great event. Plenty of beer, big pours, tons of space, amazing view, super chill. Doesn’t get much better.

I’m impressed you made it through the day without melting from this brutal heat. Or was it a bit cooler by the bay?
