I just had a Disco Ninja as well, great stuff. These Electric beers are aimed at a completely different demographic that look for super sweet thick drinks that have little or no recognizable traits to the beers I cut my teeth on, I.E hoppy bitter crisp clean lower ABV beers, it’s probably a safe bet that it’s the same demographic that searches out the ultra sweet thick higher ABV pastry stouts .To each his own but no thanks to these sugared up things that don’t remotely resemble beer IMHO.

    Cheers

Not to add to the pile on, but I passed through this week and was completely underwhelmed as well. Sweet and very little hop presence.

So electric is catering to a new group then..

I completely agree. I've been there a few times, every time the IPA's are overly sweet, thick, but not hoppy. Not my style.

Electric looking at a possible location in Costa Mesa ... regardless of your opinion on their brews, they would definitely be a welcome addition to Orange County!

Agreed. Electric would open themselves up to a whole new population of folks that would never make the trek to Murrieta.

Ha just watch, they'll be right next to the camp like the other 3 breweries in Costa Mesa...

edit: sorry 4, never heard of salty bear by apparently on same road as gunwhale & barley forge.

Yeah, looks like it might be near Brewing Reserve of CA by the looks of the space.

I've only had a few brews from these guys but all have been solid. I hope they settle on Costa Mesa for selfish reasons...

haha I don't count BL or Green Cheek. I'm talking more Barley Forge/Gunwhale which are my options now, so yeah, I definitely want more without having to drive a ton. Again, selfish but the heart wants what the heart wants, Hophead89.

Yeah 13.5 miles vs. 17, whereas Barley Forge is less than 3 from me. I highly doubt they settle on Costa Mesa though so this is just a pipe dream. I'm most eager for MT Anaheim to open up sometime this century. THAT I'll make the drive for.

If instagram hearts are any indication (and it absolutely is as instagram hearts are a legally binding form of polling), electric is coming to costa mesa over temecula.
Also, MTs should just cut their losses and come to long beach instead. They can tag team ballast point with beachwood!
