Interesting. The original Smoke Filled Room from Hop Butcher had guava or papaya (or both, can't remember) and mine developed quite a lot of floaties before I drank them all. Not as many as Real Gem did, and nowhere near as fast though. The last one (about a month out) had enough floaties that I dumped it.

Where at? Eclipse should be $18.99/4-pack as our MSRP. We can’t legally control shelf pricing but industry standard markups should get it around $18.99.

Are you counting with tax or before? 22 dollars seems right in the range for $18.99 + tax

Looks like available at the Dojo starting tomorrow as single cans. Wonder what the price point is going to be?

Binny's site has it listed at 6.99 per can. I understand the price correlation with ingredients but I'm glad these heavy fruit additive IPAs do not appeal to me. And my wallet is as well.

$7 is not too bad for 16oz. Before it was something like $12 for 22oz. I'm in for a can or two!

$7 is not bad for a single 16oz can of IPA? What?

    That's a $28 4 pack.

I could see maybe $5, but I'll not be buying any cans at $7.

But these didn't come in 4 packs. They came in 22oz bombers.

Yeah - if I did my math right, the per ounce cost actually decreased. I prefer to buy singles or bombers to 4-packs anyways, so this pretty good....

I was thinking $4-5 myself I'd be on board with, $7 a can is steep. Not really much of a cost difference per oz compared to what I got the bombers for. A lot of the bombers sat even at $10. Market is so saturted with IPA's. I think a good idea would be for them to do mixed 4 packs at $20.

If the consumer accepts $7 IPA cans, look for other brewers to start pricing their cans accordingly...I'm going for a hard pass on principal.

Sure Bet 22oz bomber was $10.99 = .50 an ounce.
Shurre Bet 16 oz can is $6.99 = .44 an ounce.

I'm not telling anyone how to feel about the cost (I myself largely stopped buying the bombers except for an occasional Pdubs bomber), but the cost in this format is actually slightly less. I think it just feels worse since its a single can for almost as much as you can get a 4-pack of Lizard King ... just goes to show what a bad deal the bombers were.

There are a number of markets where this is already the norm. $6-$8 a can for these DIPA, lactose IPAs and stouts. Lots of NY breweries are doing this. (Decadent, Grimm, come to mind off the top of my head).
