Magnify Brewing (2019)

Had the 4th anniversary on tap and bought cans of the 3rd anniversary. Both are very good and didn't notice any burn.

 

Of course the 1 beer that was sold out by the time we got there was the 1 beer my wife wanted. She wasn't happy haha.

 

I had solid gold and IV last night. Both were very good and I didn't notice any burn.

Why is no one talking about DDH Maine Event?

I personally thought this DDH batch was fantastic!

 

IV doesn't have any yeast burn. It's very good!

 

It's because it's old news! ;-)
Maine Event is one of their most consistently excellent beers.

 

DDH Peak of Ripeness is also on point! Both great batches!

 

As a OG magnify fan this most recent release had me completely elated!

A DDH version of arguably one of their best beers alongside and wonderful variant on search! No Lactose mentioned, nor any crippling triple digits ABV either. Just some run of the mill take on some classic styles with some twists thrown in. To me this is what I miss and love about Magnify, NOT week after week of DDH DIPA's and TIPA's.

But if the demand suggests DDH TIPA's then fine do that, but also do a little something for your core OG fans, Woah series anyone?

And BTW this variant of Search was on point!

 

As another OG Magnify fan, I have to agree with a lot of your post. I did stop by today myself and got a few 4 packs. Really like the Funny Business and DDH Peak of Ripeness. Bummed that the DDH Maine Event was gone but oh well. Love Search but didn’t get a bottle this time. #bringbackwoah

Yup. Picked up the anniversary stemless glass. Loved the peak of ripeness. Reminds me of the Sierra Nevada southern Hemisphere pack with white wine notes. The drive there sucks for me but I did appreciate the cans were way fresher than what I've been getting at carton.

 

I only go every now and again but I do have to say that Magnify has hit the sweet spot for the customer in that we can get 7-8 options any time we go and none are more than 4 weeks out from canning date pretty much ever.

 

I was really surprised , two of my choices were a week old. I've been getting 4+week old cans at carton which was disappointing.

 

To any OG Magnify peeps who were fans of the Woah series - if you're in the area ya might wanna stop by n give Cross Breeze a try. Its smooth and super drinkable. It def has the Farmhouse flavor/style IMO.

 

@njcraftguy thanks for that post. When I saw they were canning a dry hopped Saison I was hoping it would be similar.
