I might sue Dog Boner Brewing for making me feel ill just reading their name.

I don't believe litigation is part of the fun for homebrewers...

When does society membership enrollment typically take place? Am considering joining and just wondering when I should start watching for word. Does it open for new enrollments each year? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

It's usually on an annual cycle - last year renewal for current members was mid-December through end of the year and then it opened to the public for signups January 1st.

I though you could join at any time, but I'll be damned if I can find anything about it. @Todd can clarify.

Transient posted on January 11th on FB that they were opening up new spots in their membership, and it would be up until full. They didn't comment when it was full, but the link takes you to their webshop that has nothing on it, so it's pretty likely it filled up (even if I couldn't say when that happened).

Has anyone made it up to try Turbo? Opinions?

I think Full Turbo is the best hazy they've done. Its got a great citra flavor and a nice sweetness to it that's strange but tasty. $20 a 4 pack though. I like it better than Juice honestly.

Get that Spring Lagger though, fantastic beer!

Went and did just that. Those two and Gin Fza. And a 4 pack of Cromulent for home.

Turbo was pretty damn good. A ton of saturation from those hops. I wish it was a little less hefty but otherwise, yes, fantastic

    It was a successful trip

Turbo is excellent...8% does make it a little hefty for me too....bit it is quite good.

Cromulent is drinking well...drinking one now with lunch...it is one of my favorites!

Latest member email. Best news ever!

“After years of intending to make a barrel aged version of Bark Lord, and consistently giving in to just combining all that base beer into Kentuckley, we finally did it! And it is even better than we could have imagined!!!

We took some of the remaining double barrel Buckley reserve on hand (the beer that first spent 6 years in our whiskey foeder, then another year in bourbon barrels) and gave it the royal Bark Lord Treatment of Vanilla, Maple Syrup, Tugboat Coffee and Cinnamon. What resulted was The Prince of Barkness! This year will potentially be the only one where we use double barrel Buckley reserve for this variant, and future batches will most likely be 1 year aged in bourbon barrels, so the first year will be unique in that regard.

Also, due to popular demand, along side the Prince, we will be releasing Smuckley, which takes our Buckley base beer, adds the usual vanilla and maple syrup, but then a healthy dose of peanuts and raspberries to round the whole thing out.”

That's a typo from Chris, right? Clearly 6 months.

Also, anybody know when do we get our free member bottles? Year is over halfway gone, LOL!

Can't wait for the Prince and Smuckley though!
